Overall Meaning

Z-Quad's song Uno is about his life as a trap rapper. The first verse of the song starts with the lyrics "I'm in the trap, got 2 phones, Switching this shit like Uno." The "trap" is a street term for a drug house, and so when Z-Quad says he's in the trap, he means he's dealing drugs. The two phones represent the two lines of communication the rapper maintains with his clients. He switches the phone numbers like the card game Uno, where the goal is to get rid of all your cards before your opponent, implying that he's trying to make deals as fast as he can.

The next line is a reference to his car, "Hop in the whip, got 2 doors, Gas got me going to Pluto." A "whip" is slang for a car, and his car only has two doors, which is probably indicative of its sportier nature. Gas got him going to Pluto suggests that his car is fast, and he's speeding around the city to make these drug deals.

The second verse talks about his success as a rapper. He talks about spending as part of his success. He mentions brands such as Dior, Givenchy, and Prada, indicating his wealth. Louie, Vuitton, and 2 tone are associated with luxury. Z-Quad talks about his love life and sports activities, as well, namely Jerome Bettis and Pujols. I am looking to do something similar to this for a car installation. Using Bluetooth dual pairing to pair both android auto and the led controller at the same time to sync music reactivity with a clean audio input as opposed to a mic reactive which would pick up road noise.

I apologize if it's been answered somewhere or that I just didn't quite understand the jargon regarding the new ESP32-AE+. I just recently ordered a Dig-Uno with the Ethernet option, as well as a Dig-Quad (only the external antenna option was available). Am I able to swap the ethernet ESP from the Uno onto the Quad so that I can control the QUAD by ethernet? (hoping to run Xlights sequences on the Quad this Christmas and concerned the Wifi connection might not work out... this will be my first lightshow this year so not a lot of experience)

Ya know I watched the video, but it's all gibberish to me, LOL!!!!! I really hope to get into this stuff. I've tried to get the LEDs to work around my TV, which after months haven't been able to successfully complete that. Don't get me wrong, I've made progress, but every time I do, I seem to get knocked back. Anyway, I'm interested in the Dig because I want to setup a Christmas and Halloween light display. I'm excited to travel down this rabbit hole.

A question I do have; the price between DIY Uno & quad is not significant, is there any downside to just running QUAD all over my home (I'm going ethernet for the 8 installations which will be fixed all year round, with 1-2 WiFi for my Halloween decorations if that's a consideration)

Sure, no real down-side there, Dig-Quad just has a bit more features and is a bit bigger but will perform perfectly the same as the Dig-Uno otherwise. :)

Well generally you'd run 2 cables. But, since it's 100Mbit you can actually run 2 signals over a single cable if you really want to. Either by crimping on 2 connectors on both sides or using pre-made splitter blocks, you can find those pretty cheap on Aliexpress. :)

May I ask a question about the Quinled Dig Uno ... it claims to be rated for 15 amps, but how? The tiny terminal blocks can't accept heavy enough wire to handle that kind of current. Is there a version with only through-plated exposed pads, so I can use ring terminals and proper heavier gauge wire?

Ah no there is not. The terminals can handle the current (or rated even higher actually) its just wire size that can be an issue with distance. So using a short 16AWG feed in wire and feed out wire and then split it behind the board to whatever lengths you need (remember a single injection won't take in more then 4Amps anyway....) that works perfectly fine.

If you want power distribution and fusing combined in the board for that, take a look at the Dig-Quad :)

I'm asking this as I have lots of HD107S strips which have a similar protocol to that of an Apa102 (data and clock on separate lines) and have been unsuccessful with a Raspberry pi with Apa102 python libraries and an Esp32 wroom D with Wled. Wled people say it may be because of the 3.3V output from both devices and want me to try level shifted 5v output.

I'm confused, yes these are addressable LED controllers and you can get strips up to 332LEDs per meter which you can all control individually.

Hi, I saved the segments on the present like what you stated. But the next day when I turn on the QuinLed the present and segments goes away. How do you saved it permanently? I have over 20 segments. I even backup present first but then when restore it, the message stated Sorry there was an issue loading your presets!. Anyone have this problem and how to save segments permanently?

Ok, so I’m experiencing something odd.. I have both channels of the dig uno connected , using separate wire for the data channel … distance from the controller to Leds is 1.8 meter and using 16awg cable. No flicker and solid colors work fine but the effects are slower and not as smooth as the strip in fist channel closer to the strip … what could be the problem here ?

Hello Can you please assist, I upgraded all my boards to Dig UNO and all was working great, but ever since i upgrade to 0.14.1 all the unita are going offline, i have to power cycle them again to be visible on the network.. any help in the cause of this?. The are going off line after about 3 mins..

Well yes, you need to make sure your power supply can provide power needed for both strips together. So if it's on 1 or 2 channels doesn't really make a difference in that regard. :)

Yes you can use either version by adding a WiFi router or a switch and the Ethernet version to keep it all hardwired can work too. It'll require a little bit of configuration but nothing too hard!

Just received my Dig-uno. Removed the ESP32 and programed it to 0.14.0 beta for my (ws2811 12v 96 led/m.) I put in 460 leds @6000mA, Changed to 12V 30mA. Added my Wifi. With the ESP32 plugged into my usb i can talk to it with my WLED app on my phone. Installed my 12v mean well 17A 200w power supply to the Dig-Uno, Led strip flashed once, but none of the Dig-uno lights came on. Can anyone give me a hand with this? Thank you!!

Did you connected the data line to LED1? Arrows moving away from the board and in LED preferences set the LED channel to GPIO16?

You can also flash a pre-configured one using https://install.quinled.info

@@IntermitTech Yes I have the center led strip Line (green) into LED1 port. I'm a little confused, for the GPIO in settings I have button 0-3 only (0 is set at 0 - pushbutton) and The link you sent I should be downloading Dig-uno (AB) version correct? Thanks for the quick response.

Yes the AB version is likely what you need (board antenna).

But the GPIO settings are in LED preferences and the the LED channel..... Euhm, maybe watch a tutorial? This is for a Dig-Quad but should help you figure it out: https://youtu.be/JIkoUCuXFa0

Oh wow, that's awesome! Yeah sadly the size of the Dig-Quad is 0,4mm too big to fit in 100mm but I really can't make it any other way so that discount is awesome! :D

I'm not 100% certain that chipset is supported yet, please check the WLED Wiki for that. But yeah just check in the addressable LED section of my website for all the configuration options!

If it's on HA then better no. Enormous security holes and when you want to address them "developers" will ban you from official forum without discussion. Second thing is constant stability issues - Lets face it HA is tinkerers platform not something to be treated seriously. Only crazy person will base his home security on this project. Another thing is that "forum" seems strongly politically inclined - yes even on this platform. People like Zack or rest of "developers" were banning russian developers:))))) Which is really ridiculous. Please stop selling this security scam platform.

I'm not sure why you are putting a personal rant about Home Assistant (mine runs fine?) under this video which has nothing to do with it and the boards and WLED or ESPixelstick as software for them runs 100% independent of Home Assistant? Have you submitted these things you talk about (nothing concrete?) as bugs? Maybe create a clear webpage where you detail what is wrong with how they do it and what would be the best way to fix things? It'll get you much further then random rants under videos at least. :)
