Miserere
Miserere, misero me
Però brindo alla vita
Ma che mistero è la ma vita
Che mistero
Dell'anno Ottantamila
Un menzognero
Ma dove sono
Cosa faccio
Come vivo?
Vivo nell'anima del mondo
Perso nel vivere profondo
Miserere, misero me
Però brindo alla vita
Io sono il santo che ti ha tradito
Quando eri solo
E vivo altrove e osservo il mondo
Dal cielo
E vedo il mare
E le foreste
E vedo me che
Vivo nell'anima del mondo
Perso nel vivere profondo
Miserere
Misero me
Però brindo alla vita
Se c'è una notte buia abbastanza
Da nascondermi, nascondermi
Se c'è una luce, una speranza
Sole magnifico che splendi dentro me
Dammi la gioia di vivere
Che ancora non c'è
Miserere, miserere
Quella gioia di vivere
Che forse ancora non c'è
The lyrics of "Miserere" by Zucchero with Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli are a contemplation of the mysteries of life, sin, and redemption. In the first stanza, the singer describes himself as a miserable sinner living in the soul of the world, lost in the deep meaning of life. He acknowledges his mistakes and misunderstandings, but still raises a toast to life.
In the second stanza, the singer reflects on his role as a betrayer, who has disappointed and abandoned someone who needed him. He feels like he is living somewhere else, observing the world from the sky, looking at the sea, the forests, and himself. He is still lost in the depth of living, and despite his remorseful tone, he clings to life, brimming with hope and seeking the joy of living that may still be elusive.
Overall, the song is a beautiful and heartfelt expression of the human condition, where we are all sinners seeking redemption and struggling to find meaning and joy in our lives.

This is just wonderful. Catch the part where bocelli quickly covers for pavoratti. At this time he was very sick and this was one of his last performances. We all miss him very much:(
