Zulú sacó tan solo un LP titulado Zulú, innovador para aquellos tiempos. Se podría definir como rock psicodélico/progresivo. Tenía además, mucho de experimental; era uno de los pioneros del uso de los sintetizadores Moog en el Perú, por ejemplo.
En el año 1974 Zulú decide retirarse de la música, desapareciendo casi por completo y dedicando su vida a otros quehaceres, sobre todo la religión.
Entre las canciones más conocidas de Zulú se encuentran "Candela", "Si en el cielo yo viviera", "Sana Camaleón" y "Sueño de Amor", entre otras.
