Luego de girar durante un par de años por el circuito under porteño, la banda empezó a pensar en grabar un primer disco. Las presentaciones en vivo eran cada vez más concurridas y evidenciaban el crecimiento del grupo.
En marzo de 2004 comenzó en Cemento una serie de shows (que llegarían a cuatro a lo largo del año) cada vez con mayor convocatoria. En abril salió a la venta “Frutilla y almeja”, el álbum debut de ZUMBADORES y un mes después se realizó la presentación en El Teatro. A partir de allí la banda salió a mostrarlo por varias ciudades del interior del país.
En el primer semestre de 2005 y ante la imposibilidad de tocar en vivo por motivos ya conocidos, ZUMBADORES comenzó a trabajar en la composición de una nueva placa.
A mediados de año realizó dos presentaciones en La Trastienda y se encerró a grabar el sucesor de “Frutilla y almeja”. En diciembre despidió el año en El teatro.
“Hijo de la barbarie” vió la luz a principio de 2006 y fue presentado en El Teatro en el mes de mayo. Este nuevo álbum representó para ZUMBADORES una apertura musical con respecto al debut “Frutilla y almeja”.
