This review is spot on, its small enough to fit in your pocket and powerful enough to get a nice hit and has battery life for a whole day easily. Hasnt leaked yet too i might add! The mesh coil you get with it is great, i get great flavour too at the recommended 12 watts. Still to try regular coils, plus the nic salts with this one though. If you're looking to start vaping or just get something more portable, 100% recommend this.

50/50 and it has leaked ever so slightly, but not enough to actually get on the outside of the vape. Doesn’t bother me at all.

It's pronounced "smock" all day.
I have a Novo 2 and I love it with the Novo 1 coils. The 2 and 3 coils taste burnt, right from the start.
Unfortunately, still never tastes as good as a throw-away, even with fresh coils/pods.

The first two pods in the packs of novo 1,2,3 and X last about three to five days . They suck but in the packs , rock it but never let the liquid go away and hit it burnt , keep it submerged always and use clear slats clear liquid is best try no color liquid or just a little orange and the pods last longer

800 mah is pretty good and the novo 2,3,x and now this all have 800mah battery.The novo 1 is only one with 400mah I do believe.Unfortunately the novo x pods are not compatible with any Novo's,now this isn't compatible with the X so starts to get a lil confusing for newbies but I always liked the ever dependable Novo series! You can't go wrong AND with the original novo 1,you can hack the pod and rewick it a couple times and those pods fit in the 1,2 n 3 novos 😀

Hey guys, question, what's a good battery company to go through? I currently have AWT IMR18650 3000MAH 40A 3.7V I've had these for about 2 weeks and I'm already seeing the battery life decline where they are only lasting about 4hrs. They started at about 8-9 hrs. Just curious what would be a good replacment brand. I do vape quite a bit so I don't expect them to last days but to see such a quick decline makes me wonder if this brand it top notch or is there something better? Thanks

I used to love my Novo 2 and 3 but pod mods released in 2021 are far superior to the generation of pod mods that came out in 2020. The Novo 4 is going to have to be a massive improvement to come close to the Voopoo V Thru and Geekvape Wenax K1.

Something tells me it won’t.

Smaller lesser known reviewers are providing the viewer audience with comparisons of the flood of pod mods coming out. I am noticing that higher profile reviewers are not comparing these pods with the others that have been released and I think that is a serious oversight for a reviewer.

We don’t want to know if it’s good. We went to know if it’s better than other pods in the market.

Okay so I see their are like 3 different coil types here on this piece: LP1 meshed 0.8ohm, LP1 DC 0.8ohm MTL, and LP1 Meshed 1.2 ohm MTL. Which is the best for let’s say 50 mg nicotine?

Love mine excellent flavor. Adjustable air flow and power totally blows my original novo out of the water, which still works after all these years. That strawberry milk custard is so yummy in the new nord 4!

Let me clear this up for you. It is pronounced "smoke" but spelled "SMOK" because they couldn't get trademark protection on a common word like "smoke". In much the same way that Intel wasn't allowed trademark protection on a common number such as "80586" so they changed the name to "Pentium".

The Novo 4, like every Novo/Smok device I’ve ever owned, impressed me before breaking and being unfixable between 1-2 months into having it. Fuuuuuck Smok. Idk how they keep reeling me in with these new models. I’ve had multiples of each—none lasted more than a couple months.

Anyone have an opinion on "auto draw"? I had 2-3 of the previous versions from Smok. They died as soon as the auto draw gets hit by a leaky cartridge. Hoping the extra 0-ring will help. That being said I have an RPM80 atm that I've had for awhile, it does leak w/ mesh coils. I may try a new cart.

My pod falls out easily and it shoots out the mouthpiece when i fill it up. When its full and i tape the pod in it works pretty good. If i were to do it over I'd just get something else

There are only a few coil options so it's pretty simple lol. I just stuck with the 0.8 ohm mesh at 12 watts. Running 48mg solace juice in them and it hits extremely smooth. I'm sure you couldn't go wrong with any of the coil options, but I personally prefer the mesh coils.

I went to visit my mom yesterday who has never vaped before I had her try my Aegis X with a Talo X Rda with Shijin vapors Tortoise on Ice 50mg salt nic she couldn't even take a puff she smelled the juice and made her eyes water. Do you have any recommendations for a small mod for beginners and I also bought your Aegis Hero it works amazingly for such a small mod and the flavor is phenomenal

It's probably the 50 nic that she is reacting to. They make 35 and 25 nic I believe also which is a huge difference. I can puff on 35 nic all day but I choke on 50 nic if I haven't had it in a while. That is A LOT of nicotine.

Anybody have a problem with the pod not wanting to stay in this? with the mesh one it’ll come out after about 5 minutes but it’s pretty tight and when I put the round wire coil in it won’t stay in at all unless I hold it down. I’ve solved it by just putting in a small piece of paper on the side away from the airflow and that holds it tight but I’d like to find a more elegant solution or know if I’m just doing something wrong.

2 coils in the box both tasted like ass. Both were primed properly and starting wattage was 12W. went for a 3rd and it is the same…maybe going to try the UWell Caliburn instead.

What happened to the vape scene? Everything's become tiny weak pod systems and salt Nic juices. All my local vape stores that used to carry all these custom mods and RDAs and building supplies either went out of business and closed, or completely stopped carrying anything except the same 4-5 pod systems. Really sad as it used to have a deep culture behind it and vast building community to where walking into a vape shop was like a fun experience and a conversation starter with the guy who worked there. Now it's just about grabbing my juices and buying mods online.

Pods are more popular because vaping became more popular with older adults who want something small, isn't obnoxious with clouds, and fits in the pocket easy. Pods are a great tool to quit smoking and they save thousands of lives every year by getting people off cigarettes

@GM EL DORADO Novo 2 and 3 still are awesome. There is something special about them even compared to the 4 to me. I use my 2 with pods from the 2 or 3 all the time still. Sometimes even prefer it. Coils in the pods are awesome and there's a huge selection. Not so many options and differences to experience with the 4 yet. I even love how the 1.4 ohm MTL pod vapes. You'd think it would vape cool, but it's nice and warm and satisfying. Trust me, you're not missing out on that much. I think I actually prefer the vape on the 2/3 with the 0.8 vs the 4 version of the 0.8s. (mesh OR DC)

For everyone thinking of getting the novo 4. Out of all of the salt nic devices I’ve opened from the first novo. Dealing w problems on how to get good flavor on a new pod. Even for the nord it felt like each pod or coil had to be absolutely burnt for it not to be a harsh hit/dry if that makes sense? With barely any flavor and just vape production. Literally just primed my novo 4 freshly bought and had the same issues!!! But because I had the option to lower the wattage I put it to 5 watts after waiting even longer and puffed on it not even 4 times. Flavor started to come through and I could put it back to the recommended 12 wats cause I’m not using the mesh and it’s hitting good. No harsh hits after that.

Guys please don't impulse buy this like I did last week. It has a major issue which is gurgling. After your initial fill, when you refill the pod you run into a crazy amount of gurgling. Fixing it is a pain in the ass. To fix it you have to blow through the pod mouth piece until you don't hear the gurgle anymore, but doing this causes you to waste 2ml of liquid. Because of how much you have to blow to fix it. So you will run into a endless loop of blowing and refilling until the gurgling is resolved. Every time I refill it I have to blow through 4 to 6 ml of liquid because of how intense the gurgling problem is. And please don't respond to me saying I'm over saturating because I'm not. I'm only filling to the minimum line, so I know it's not user error. This device is absolutely terrible and unusable in my opinion. Of course it vapes perfectly well when you fix the problem but damn is it unbearable having to do this every time you refill.

@Miss Grinch yeah i think mine was defective i tried the airflow at every setting i could at every wattage and it still burned within a few days and barely any clouds, I think the coil would just get clogged really easily, anyways i got a Caliburn now and i love it.

Try turning up the wattage for more vapor, make sure battery is fully charged, open the air flow, and let it heat up for a few seconds after you turn it on. You may need to replace your coil and if that doesn’t work, your unit may be defective. I vape at 14W wide open and blow massive clouds from this little thing with the 0.8 mesh coil.

These LP1 mesh coils are asscheeks. The two that came in the box had a weird after taste like burnt “something”, not sure how describe. I popped in a 3rd and same thing. I’m just not impressed by Smok coils. I like their device designs but in the many mods, tanks, coils I’ve bought over the last several years, they’ve consistently let me down. 👎
