The story of Anton Vezuv began in 2010, when Hungarian singer and songwriter István locked the world out, moved into a basement in Budapest, where, dead to the world, he wrote a bunch of songs flowing into the sea of melancholy. With the songs seeking their ‘owners’, the band was created in a few month, and taking the name Anton Vezuv did they start to look after István’s compositions. During the slow, but instinctively flowing recordings of Anton Vezuv’s first LP, the band played only a few, though very peculiar gigs. Even if quite seldom, but going on stage, Anton Vezuv played in most of the main clubs of Budapest. The first LP of Anton Vezuv ‘Into the sea’ was released on songwriter and band leader István’s birthday in September 2014.

Say Something

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
because it's the end of our time
say something, without delay
cause it's end of the world we know
what we had, it will just go away
even love, it's gone if you don't say
because there is no next turn
say something, the sound goes out
how could i leave without hearing your voice
what we have, it won't just pass away
cause the world ended, and i still hear you say
parapararam, parapararam, parapararam, parapararam
love is like a flow, at the end you'll know
love is like a flow, at the end you'll know
The lyrics to Anton Vezuv's song "Say something" convey a sense of urgency and the realization that time is running out. The singer implores someone to speak up and express their feelings before it is too late. The opening lines "say something, but today, because it's the end of our time" suggest that there is a limited window of opportunity for communication. The urgency continues with the line "say something, without delay, cause it's the end of the world we know," indicating that the relationship or situation is about to come to an end.
The second verse emphasizes the importance of speaking up and expressing oneself. It suggests that if nothing is said, everything they had will simply disappear, including love. The repetition of the phrase "say something" throughout the song reinforces the urgency and the desire for the other person to take action.
The bridge of the song introduces the lyric "love is like a flow, at the end you'll know." This line suggests that love is something that should be acknowledged and expressed while it is still present, or else it will be too late to understand its true nature. The repeated refrain of "parapararam" adds an emotive quality to the song, creating a sense of longing and nostalgia.
Overall, "Say something" explores the theme of missed opportunities and the importance of communicating one's feelings before it is too late. It serves as a reminder to seize the moment and express oneself while there is still time.
