Playing together since 2007, guitarist and vocalist Niki BelGrande, drummer Lou Chalupa, and bassist Macho Grande are veterans of various local metal scenes and bands. Beef Supreme is the trio’s most ambitious musical endeavor to date. However, what really sets Beef Supreme apart from the teeming masses is something not normally associated with stoner metal: their marketing plan. “The standard model for rock bands, what they tell you to do, is play out locally and build a following, and then grow from there,” explains BelGrande. “That’s bullshit, that doesn’t work anymore. Local scenes are a racket, and regional touring is fun, but it’s completely unsustainable from a business point of view.” The future, she says, is the internet. Beef Supreme offers free downloads of all of their music, sells merchandise online, and makes heavy use of social media to connect with their fans.

You keep bleeding through the fresher paint
Foggy like the halo on a saint
You can't be in my dreams anymore
You can't walk right in through the front door
[Verse 2:]
Of course you'd find me, where else would I be?
Standing, sipping coffee by the sink
Give yourself confusion, time to think
[Verse 3:]
You keep bleeding through the fresher paint
Lost, well, I can tell you where you ain't
You can't be in my dreams anymore
You can't walk right in through the front door
Beef Supreme's song "Flora" contains verses that are intense and introspective. The lyrics in the first verse depict the struggle of moving on from a person who keeps revisiting the artist's mind, even after time has passed. The metaphor of bleeding through fresher paint further emphasizes the difficulty of masking the old wounds and the struggle to paint over the past. The second verse addresses the persistence of the individual who has re-entered the artist's life, where the artist seems resigned and unsure of how to navigate the situation. The verse suggests the individual has returned, possibly after an extended absence, and the artist's implied familiarity with the situation highlights the cycle of unhealthy attachment. The final verse repeats the opening lines, "You keep bleeding through the fresher paint," now emphasizing that the person, identified in the previous verses, is no longer welcomed in the artist's mind or life, as "you can't be in my dreams anymore / You can't walk right in through the front door."
Throughout the song, Beef Supreme employs imagery that highlights the difficulty of breaking ties and moving on from someone who remains intertwined in one’s life. The repeated metaphor of bleeding through the fresher paint emphasizes the struggle of trying to overcome a frightening past and the difficulty of concealing the trauma we have experienced. Therefore, the songwriting encapsulates the relatable conflict of moving on after an ended relationship, particularly when the hurt persists and manifests itself in unwelcome ways.
