Save A Horse
big rich Lyrics

Dumb-de-de-dumb, de-de-dumb-de-de-dumb, de-daa-daaaaa
Dumb-de-de-dumb, de-de-dumb-de-de-dumb, de-daa-daa-daa-daa-daaaa

Well, I walk into the room
Passing out hundred dollar bills
And it kills, and it thrills, like the horns on my Silverado grill
And I buy the bar a double round of Crown
And everybody's gettin' down
And this town, ain't never gonna be the same

'Cause I saddle up my horse
And I ride into the city
I make a lot of noise
'Cause the girls
They are so pretty
Riding up and down Broadway
On my old stud Leroy
And the girls say
Save a horse, ride a cowboy
Everybody says
Save a horse, ride a cowboy

Well, I don't give a dang about nothing
I'm singing and bling blinging
While the girls are drinking
Long necks down
And I wouldn't trade ol' Leroy
Or my Chevrolet for your Escalade
Or your freak parade
I'm the only John Wayne left in this town

When I saddle up my horse
And I ride into the city
I make a lot of noise
'Cause the girls
They are so pretty
Riding up and down Broadway
On my old stud Leroy
And the girls say
Save a horse, ride a cowboy
Everybody says
Save a horse, ride a cowboy

Well, I'm a thoroughbred
That's what she said
In the back of my truck bed
As I was gettin' buzzed on suds
Out on some back country road
We where flying high, fine as wine
Having ourselves a Big and Rich time
And I was going just about as far as she'd let me go
But her evaluation
Of my cowboy reputation
Had me begging for salvation
All night long
So I took her out giggin' frogs
Introduced her to my ol' bird dog
And sang her every Willie Nelson song I could think of
And we made love

And I saddled up my horse
And I ride into the city
I make a lot of noise
'Cause the girls
They are so pretty
Riding up and down Broadway
On my old stud Leroy
And the girls say
Save a horse, ride a cowboy
Everybody says
Save a horse, ride a cowboy

What? What?
Save a horse ride a cowboy

Everybody says
Save a horse ride a cowboy

Overall Meaning

"Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)" by Big & Rich is a song that celebrates the country lifestyle in all its unabashed glory. The lyrics are all about living life to the fullest, enjoying good times with friends, and falling in love with a country girl who appreciates the same things as the singer. The song starts with a catchy guitar riff and the singer walking into a room, passing out hundred-dollar bills. He's having a great time and he wants everyone else to join in. He buys everyone a round of drinks and tells them that this town will never be the same again.

The chorus is all about riding a horse into the city, making noise, and enjoying the company of pretty girls. He rides down Broadway on his old stud Leroy, and the girls tell him to save a horse and ride a cowboy. The second verse is about how the singer doesn't care about material possessions like Escalades or freak parades. He's happy with his cowboy lifestyle and his trusty horse. The bridge of the song is all about the singer having a good time with a country girl on a back country road. They are drinking beers and enjoying each other's company. They make love and she tells him that he's a true cowboy. The song ends with the chorus, as the singer rides off into the sunset, singing "Save a horse, ride a cowboy."

Forgotten bangers. This song is badass. If it came out today this video would have over a billion views. It's got everything. Great riff, great lyrics, its edgy, it's unapologetic and in your face, yet you can't help but groove with it, it's a freak parade, it really was before it's time.

Yes and no. John Rich is especially outspoken against the establishment of these two. Their talent is all there, and if the music industry was about talent alone, they'd be headlining the biggest shows ever. But it's not, and they shove dipshits like Garth Brooks and Luke Bryan down everyone's throats.

Absolutely
