Under the moniker bsd.u, pronounced "beside you," he gained significant popularity through his SoundCloud account during the platform's peak in the early and mid-2010s. Many of his tracks were featured in YouTube edits, contributing to his widespread recognition, and some of his works reached over a million plays on SoundCloud.

Throughout his career, Matthew has collaborated with other renowned SoundCloud artists such as bob le head, DJ YUNG VAMP, knowmadic, and slr..
