Although Croosh moved around a lot growing up, he ultimately grew up in Las Vegas, NV until the age of 13, when him and his family moved out to Los Angeles.

Malek started making music at the age of 14, though initially only for fun. He started out by playing guitar and producing beats under the name "Crucial J", but would later change it to "Croosh" once he started to lean more towards rapping.
