Dizzy
ella bleu Lyrics

I don't know when I first knew
I don't know if you liked me too
But I do know I feel that way now
I know that we were fourteen years old
I was the weird girl
You'll never let me forget
When I think back to that time
The awkward stages of our lives
I know it and
You know it, yeah
I get a little bit dizzy, a little bit whoa
Oh baby, when you're near me
It's all that I can do to not fall
I get a little bit dizzy, a little bit whoa
Oh baby, when you're near me
It's all that I can do to not fall
Ain't no sunshine when you're gone
I guess Bill was right when he wrote that song
I know that she's your light now
And I laugh so hard when you make fun of me
Though I can't make you happy
And I know that, yeah
But I forget
I get a little bit dizzy, a little bit whoa
Oh baby, when you're near me
It's all that I can do to not fall
I get a little bit dizzy
Oh, I get a little bit whoa
Baby, when you're with me
It's all that I can do to not fall
And oh, when you love someone
It's okay if your heart breaks for the right cause
And oh, when you say goodbye
To go live your life, that's alright
I get a little bit dizzy
When you're with me
But it's okay
If things stay the same
I get a little bit, oh
I get a little bit whoa
Baby when you're with me
It's all that I can do to not fall
Dizzy when you're with me

But then it's okay
I love you anyway

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Dizzy" by Ella Bleu convey a nostalgic reflection on young love and the complexities that come with it. The song opens with a sense of uncertainty as the singer recalls their teenage years and the feelings they had for someone, unsure if those feelings were reciprocated. The reminiscence of being fourteen and feeling like the "weird girl" who was not easily forgotten by their love interest sets the stage for a bittersweet journey down memory lane.

As the lyrics delve deeper into the past, there is a sense of longing and vulnerability expressed in the lines "I get a little bit dizzy, a little bit whoa" when the person of affection is near. The overwhelming emotions and the struggle to maintain composure in the presence of this individual are vividly portrayed, showing the intensity of the connection they share despite time and distance. The mention of feeling lightheaded and on the verge of falling encapsulates the dizzying effect of love on the singer's heart.

The song takes a poignant turn as it acknowledges the reality of change and acceptance of the other person moving on to someone new. The reference to Bill Wither's "Ain't No Sunshine" underscores the sense of loss and longing when the person they love is not around. Despite knowing that their love may not be reciprocated in the same way, the singer finds solace in the moments shared and the memories created with their former flame, even if it means enduring heartbreak and unrequited feelings.

In the final verse, the lyrics embrace a sense of acceptance and unconditional love. The acknowledgment that love can be bittersweet and that letting go is sometimes necessary for personal growth and happiness reflects a mature understanding of relationships. The declaration of love despite the uncertainties and complexities encapsulates the enduring nature of true feelings. Ultimately, "Dizzy" by Ella Bleu captures the emotional rollercoaster of young love, nostalgia, and the resilience of the heart in the face of inevitable change and growth.

Today is my beloved Dad's birthday. But he's no longer here, so I can't tell him, in person, how much I love him. Yet, I know that he knows. I dedicate Ella Bleu's amazing song to my late parents who are my inspiration and my home.โค๏ธ

โค the song ... This song should be more. Out there it's great!!!! You look so much like your mother esp. now as you get older. If you ever miss your mom just look into the mirror. It's amazing after we have lost someone we love so dear. Especially a parent or sibling as I have and I always remember there are always pieces left behind from them in us. Wether it be out looks or antics in things we do or how we sound our voices might sound similar too
