**Phone dialling**

What's up, this is Mary, leave a message, and I'll holla back, peace

Yo, yo Mary, pick up the phone girl
Ay yo Mary, pick up the phone girl

MJ = Hello?
PD = Ay yo, what's up?
MJ = What's up Puff?
PD = Girl you ready?
MJ = I'm always ready

It's about that time again
This the moment they all been waiting for
Time to take it back to the gutter
The queen of hip-hop soul

Oohh, live your life 'cause life is love
Always thank the man above (thank you, uh)
The more you the more you get (that's real talk)
Yeah, yeah (let me warm it up for ya)

Who better to usher you back through the gutter
Than America's number one hustler (Sean Carter)
Don't call it a come back
Unless there's some money attached to that
And you can call it whatever you like, in fact
It's something like a phenomenon
Like a young LeBron, gettin' my high school games on
TV just for dunkin' on
Whoever want it with Sean he can get it jumpin like Donkey Kong
We could get it thumpin' like bum-ba-bum
Travel the way of the gun, come on, see-come on
No, I'm not only beggin' I'm eggin' you on
Until you dead or gone that's the vendetta I'm on
This ain't no video game with wrestlers on it
The competitor on this is on some shit
Honest come through all black like a Amish
Holsters under the armpit, the arm spit, ha
Just that Brooklyn don shit
Along with the queen from Yonkers
Come on kiss the ring
Fore I let miss Mary sing
Supposed to you a soul in the everything, yeah
It's classic material
I see you bastards at the burial
Jay go first and then Mary go, round
I just ride, hold her down with the fifth by my side
Me and Miss Blige
Look up in the sky it's a bird and the 'caine
And the hydro flow that I brought to the game
I could go mo' but I'm a let ma do her thang
Brooklyn, we did it again

I can't really explain what it is about her
I don't know it's just, it's something special
Ain't nobody like her, there's only one Mary

Only one queen of hip-hop soul
Love and life, let's do it

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to J. Cannon's song "Love & Glory" begin with a phone dialling sound and then J. Cannon's friend leaving a voicemail message for Mary J Blige, urging her to pick up the phone. Soon, the song transitions to a conversation between Puff Daddy and Mary J Blige, where they talk about returning to "the gutter" and bringing back the "queen of hip-hop soul". Mary then sings about the importance of living life and thanking God, with the more effort you put in, the more you will receive.

The song then shifts to a rap verse by JAY-Z, who brags about his abilities as a hustler and how he's not making a comeback unless there's money involved. He references the video game Donkey Kong and challenges anyone who wants to "get it jumpin" to step up. Then, Mary J Blige comes in again with her signature harmonies and soulful voice, singing about a unique and special quality of hers that no one can replicate. The song ends with J. Cannon encouraging everyone to embrace love and life.

Overall, "Love & Glory" is a song about overcoming adversity and returning to one's roots while staying true to oneself. The lyrics are uplifting and inspiring, and the combination of Mary J Blige's soulful singing and JAY-Z's confident rapping creates an irresistible energy.

@@davidwoody5228 my instructor at martial arts at my military service said it this way:"if you happen to meet an opponent, forget 2 things, rules and honor.... This guy gives a shit on it, but remember one thing:" never ever start a fight, but always end it"
Well, this was a military view of things, but still he said what all the masters say. It's not to start a thing.

Well, one thing he also said is, first round always is mental, if you win, the attacker rethink and don't even attack.
Once I was stopped by 3 bullies, searching for a victim.
Basically I stood where like bored to death, even slightly put my hands into my jacket and just said, very silently and calm to the leader:"you are not here for trouble and I am not here for trouble to." when I placed one finger, only one, next to his shoulder and directed him to the side, so I could left the circle around me.

One minute later I entered a train that just arrived and another guy who was there entered behind me and showed me his ID, he was a police officer out of duty, he just said:"I would have helped you, but you did not need it, my respect."

This is "winning the first round"

They tried to provoke and intimidate to cause fear. I just denied them success, so they was irritated and I topped it by commanding their leader to the side like pulling an insect away.
They searched for a victim, I did the exact opposite. So yeah, he was not in for that kind of trouble.

@sharamrock2580

Made it seem like we were going to witness a footage of street-fight between
a bully and a WingChun....

The question comes down to
A) Practice something to impress children and your grandparents
Or
B) Practice something you could use to save yourself and/or your loved ones.

When danger represent by surprise,
you’d be better off relying on solid tested techniques.

@GMack224

I have practiced WC since the late Seventies. And found it to be very useful in street fights.
But after studying Muay Thai, I’m convinced that the inclusion of the knees and elbows create a complete street fighting style.

Plus the boxing style of MT can I throw an opponent off guard on the streets.

So I use a combination of WC, MT, and Peek a boo boxing.

But, with grappling gaining popularity, I plan on adding BJJ to complete my training.

I’m 69 so I have to end a fight well within 2-3 minutes or else I’m toast! Hahahahaha

@MichaelWilliams-mo1vv

100% agree. This video is mostly movie clips, thought it would show real life examples caught on tape.
