The Sea
juri lenard and friends Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Morning, sing for yesterday
But mindful, fragile hearts surround me
Sunshine, follow endless trails
But careful, you're a forgotten memory
Do you want to turn back the time
And live again?
Leave this place
All this time you were bleeding
Wasted youth
You'll realize there's no meaning
Forget comfort
Time will tell you
There's no truth
Learn to live again
Fight me, resist, show me your face, my faith
I command
Destroy, my everything, my will
I dare you
I dare, I dare, I dare you
No fear, No fear
I don't fear you
I will wait for you honey
(Light is coming, light is coming, light is shining bright)
Hear the calling
Feel the breeze
Reach for her and

Ride away
Rise again

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "The Sea" by Juri Lenard and Friends convey themes of reflection, resilience, and the search for meaning in life. The first paragraph sets the tone by mentioning the morning and singing for yesterday, suggesting a longing for the past. However, the fragile hearts surrounding the singer remind them to be cautious. The mention of sunshine and endless trails symbolizes the potential for new beginnings, but the warning about being a forgotten memory implies a fear of being overlooked or disregarded. The question posed, "Do you want to turn back the time and live again?" reflects a desire to recapture lost moments.

The second paragraph carries a sense of resignation and regret. The idea of bleeding represents emotional pain or wasted time, while wasted youth implies missed opportunities or a feeling of time slipping away. The realization that there's no meaning suggests a disillusionment with life's purpose and perhaps a search for something deeper. The mention of leaving comfort behind implies a willingness to venture into the unknown, even if it is uncomfortable or uncertain. The line "Time will tell you there's no truth" suggests that the passage of time may reveal the futility of searching for absolute truths.

In the third paragraph, the lyrics take on a more assertive and confrontational tone. The demands to "fight me, resist, show me your face, my faith" indicate a challenge to confront and overcome obstacles or inner doubts. The singer's determination to destroy everything and their daring attitude express a refusal to be held back or controlled. The repetition of "I dare you" emphasizes their boldness and unwillingness to back down. The line "No fear, No fear, I don't fear you" asserts a sense of fearlessness and a refusal to be intimidated.

Finally, in the last paragraph, there is a shift towards hope and perseverance. The mention of waiting suggests patience and a belief that better things are yet to come. The repeated phrase "light is coming, light is shining bright" symbolizes a glimmer of hope and a belief in a brighter future. The calling and the breeze evoke a sense of longing and the need to reach out for something better. The invitation to "ride away" implies a desire to escape limitations and rise above challenges. Ultimately, the lyrics convey a message of resilience and the determination to rise again despite hardship.

I started when I was in 4th grade ( around september ). Now I'm in 5th grade, and I can say some sentences and introduce myself. I know you probably won't take advice from a 12 year old , but still, if you want to learn korean, I recommend online classes because that really worked for me!
