Rain Down
kamban Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And you know what itβ²s like to lose
It ain't like youβ²ve never tried
But life ain't been too fair to you
When you can't feel a thing inside
And you donβ²t know what to do
You just look up to the sky
And Heaven gonβ² rain down on you
I bet you never though you could
Fall this far from us, huh?
And now you tryna tell me that
You too far gone 'cause you numb
You made a couple mistakes
Been rough, you been through the mud
And now you tryna tell me
Why you think that you ainβ²t worth God's love
Got drunk couple times
Tried to find God, got judged
β²Cause soon as you try and come back
That's when the problems pop up
And I can tell you from experience
Living that lifeβ²s not fun
I pray you cry out right now
And fall back into God's arms
I know you been through the fire
And you know what it's like to lose
It ainβ²t like youβ²ve never tried
But life ain't been too fair to you
When you canβ²t feel a thing inside
And you don't know what to do
You just look up to the sky
And Heaven gonβ² rain down on you
I promise you that I have witnessed
The death-grips of addiction
I sold drugs like a punk
I probably should've went to prison
I blasphemed God so bad
On some old songs that Iβ²ve written
I used to pray to Satan
"If I don't get high, I'ma turn Christian" (For real)
I stole money from my own mom
And my dad, dawg, that vicious
I knew I never couldβ²ve mended
All the pain that I inflicted
I just want to be transparent with you
I donβ²t want to be cryptic
I really felt like a misfit
But still found His forgiveness
So, what's that say about you
And all the things you been through
The devil lying through his teeth
Iβ²m telling you, it ain't true
If God chased me down, homie
I can promise He gonβ² save you
He's probably waiting on you
But Heβ²ll always make a way through
I know you been through the fire
And you know what it's like to lose
It ain't like youβ²ve never tried
But life ainβ²t been too fair to you
When you can't feel a thing inside
And you donβ²t know what to do
You just look up to the sky
And Heaven gon' rain down on you
Heaven gonβ² rain down on you
Heaven gon' rain down on you
Heaven gonβ² rain down on you

I wrote this song after witnessing to a girl struggling with a drug addiction. You could tell that she didn't believe that she could be forgiven and loved by God.. I've been in that same place. If you feel hopeless today, just call on His name. <3

I know this is an old thread but it blows my mind how overlooked this kid is because of how strong in the faith his music is. A lot of CHH artists have strayed into secular music to please the world. All glory goes to Him. This music needs to be spread loud and far.

Praise God. New album on the way!
