Satisfied
kdrama Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Gimme gimme that paper
Roll it and pass it around
Lately you like to get wavy
Always the first to be down

You and I both
Stay high when we feel low
Stressed and blessed
It's a war zone
Sending an SOS, Lord
I'm so lost

Even though we're going all in
How much will it take til we're satisfied, satisfied, satisfied?
It may never keep you satisfied
Even though we're going all in
How much will it take til we're satisfied, satisfied, satisfied?
It may never keep you satisfied

My feelings they got me in danger
Thank God I have you around
All of the moments I savor
Picks me up when I'm down

You and I both
Stay high when we feel low
Stressed and blessed
It's a war zone
Sending an SOS, Lord
I'm so lost

Even though we're going all in
How much will it take to be satisfied, satisfied, satisfied?
It may never keep you satisfied
Even though we're going all in
How much will it take to be satisfied, satisfied, satisfied?
It may never keep you satisfied

Spotlights too bright
Too hard to see
We're deep in the bottles
Trying to breathe
Send an SOS, Lord
You know what is best for us
I don't want to mess up no more

Even though we're going all in
How much will it take til we're satisfied, satisfied, satisfied?
It may never keep you satisfied
Even though we're going all in

How much will it take til we're satisfied, satisfied, satisfied?
It may never keep you satisfied

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "Satisfied" by kdrama portray a sense of seeking fulfillment and contentment in life, particularly in the midst of struggles and uncertainties. The opening lines, "Gimme gimme that paper, Roll it and pass it around," can be interpreted as a desire for material things and indulgence, seeking temporary satisfaction in worldly pleasures. The mention of getting "wavy" and being the first to be down suggests a reliance on substances or vices to escape from reality.

However, the lyrics also express a recognition that these external factors can only provide temporary relief. The lines "Even though we're going all in, How much will it take til we're satisfied?" reflect a realization that constantly seeking and chasing after these things may never truly bring lasting satisfaction or fulfillment. There is a sense of being lost and needing guidance, as seen in the line "Sending an SOS, Lord, I'm so lost."

The song also touches on the importance of having someone who supports and uplifts during difficult times. The lyrics state, "Thank God I have you around, All of the moments I savor, Picks me up when I'm down." This suggests that having a supportive person in one's life can provide solace and comfort amidst the challenges faced.

In the chorus, the lyrics repeat the question of how much it will take to be satisfied, emphasizing the struggle and uncertainty of finding true contentment. The line "Spotlights too bright, Too hard to see" can be seen as a metaphor for being overwhelmed by external pressures and expectations, inhibiting the ability to see and prioritize what truly matters.

Overall, "Satisfied" explores the themes of seeking fulfillment through materialistic pursuits, recognizing their limitations, and the importance of finding support and solace in relationships during challenging times.

bruh she still doesn't regret how spoiled is she 🙄

@DotMatrixBlueOrRed

A Korean vlogger said that Dong-eun really means that Yeon-jin should feel upset because technically she didn't push So-hee, she only caused her to be disorientated after setting her alight, and she wasn't responsible for the final blow that killed Myeong-O. Thus she was evil for what she did burning people and putting people on fire but she isn't actually a murderer in the first degree so Ye-jin should feel upset because it's 'unfair' to her because in South Korea 2nd degree murder or similar is maximum 5 years. But I think she is in for repeat offender/double murder in the first degree. And the cherry on top she could have gotten away with it if her mother and group of friends didn't in a sense stab her in the back..even if they did it unintentionally. Brilliant revenge, it's gold.

@paulinechung112

@Dot agree she will never regret how spoilt she is but being resentful about being maligned is what will ruin her.

@sophieamandaleitontoomey9343

Having Yeon Jin alone in prison, being only reduced to a number, her reputation shot, her family gone, her mother abandoning her and being tormented by bullies day and night…and being as alone and lost as Dong Eun was for so many years…

It was truly poetic justice. As the saying goes, you play shitty games, you win shitty prizes.

@nikkonikkoni8264

She was given not one, not two, but three chances to confess for her wrong doings but she just threw them out of the window. Totally deserved it...

@linnzeyaaung8846

She should have admitted her actions and regreted. But she couldn't escape her pride. Her pride is something that she couldn't let go of. She let her pride consumed her.

@chibichan9586
