Se dieron a conocer por medio de las redes sociales con su canción "No he cambiado", el nombre de la agrupación Layl se debe que a los 3 les gustaba una muchacha llamada Layla pero el nombre era muy femenino y decidieron quitarle la ultima letra y quedarse con el nombre que actualmente tienen, su primer concierto fue en un bar llamado "Hangar 27" en en cual el lugar tenia capacidad para 50 personas pero el poder de convocatoria que empezaban a tener hizo llegaran 600 personas a apoyarlos.
Comenzaron con un canal de youtube donde tienen covers de Justin Bieber y Ed
Sheeran, con lo que de igual manera empezaron a ganar fans con los cover que subían a facebook de One Direction y Maroon 5.
