And what is epic is that he gives up the "bullet for himself" to Mac, showing true courage in accepting a terrible tortuous fate to "save" his friend. The fact he wasnt tortured to death is moot. He accepted he was gonna have a long drawn out death in order to spare his friend and comrade the same fate. AND Mac did the same by using his last bullet to kill that dickhead who said "you will never know". Comradeship at its best.
