no cops for miles Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Walks you down a dead end street
Lines you up against a wall
You get the feeling that youre never gonna win
You gotta break the fucking door
You gotta break the wall within
Fuck that im never gonna lose
I dont let my insecurities' control my authority
And you wanna get a gun
Man, you better wise up
Try
Is it the world thats bringin you down
Cause youre letting everybody push you down to the ground
Stupid people saying stupid fucking things
But its your mind you gotta fix
You gotta find a better way
Cause everybodys different and no ones the same
So stop pointing fingers cause theres no one to blame
Its too late for your family too late for friends
Cause youre lying on the floor with a bullet in your head
Try
The lyrics to "Wise Up" by No Cops For Miles are an anthem to perseverance and resilience in the face of life's challenges. The song speaks to the feeling of being backed into a corner, whether by external circumstances or internal doubts, and the need to push through and find strength within oneself. The opening lines paint a picture of a situation that feels hopeless, where it seems like everything is working against the singer. But instead of giving up, the lyrics encourage the listener to "break the fucking door" and "break the wall within." In other words, the true barriers to success and happiness are often self-imposed, and the key to overcoming them is a mindset of determination and grit.
Later in the song, the lyrics shift to addressing the idea of personal responsibility and agency. Rather than blaming the world or other people for one's problems, the song suggests that it's up to the individual to "find a better way" and take control of their own destiny. The final lines, "It's too late for your family too late for friends / Cause you're lying on the floor with a bullet in your head," serve as a stark warning of the dire consequences of giving in to defeatism and despair. Instead, the song urges listeners to "wise up" and find the strength to keep going, no matter how tough things may seem.

We recorded this album in my garage with two mics, it was the first thing i recorded that wasn't just a demo for a song. After it was done I started studying sound recording a shit load, and now I think the sound we have for the new album is better than what we would pay someone else to make.

I honestly like the raw sound of crack rock steady sounding bands better than mastered sounding music. Btw this is good stuff
