Long Way

Went down in the flames
We sailed the ocean
And drowned in the waves
Built a cathedral
But we never prayed
We had it all, yeah
And we walked away
Point of no return and now
It's just too late to turn around
I try to forgive you
But I struggle 'cause I don't know how
We built it up so high and now I'm fallin'
It's a long way down
It's a long way down, from here
We had a mountain
But took it for granted
We had a spaceship
But we couldn't land it
We found an island
But we got stranded
We had it all
Who could've planned it?
Point of no return and now
It's just too late to turn around
I try to forgive you
But I'm struggling 'cause I don't know how
We built it up so high and now I'm fallin'
It's a long way down, from you
It's such a long way down, from here
It's a long way down
It's a long way down
It's such a long way down
It's a long way down
It's a long way down
The lyrics of "Long Way" by Sillahill//One speak to the idea of losing something that was once great. The song tells the story of a relationship, or perhaps some other significant endeavor, that started off well but ultimately ended in ruin. The first verse describes the many ways that the relationship was intense and all-consuming; the couple "sailed the ocean" and "built a cathedral," but never stopped to "pray," perhaps hinting at a lack of spiritual or emotional depth in their connection. In the second verse, the singer reflects on how he and his partner took what they had for granted, and ultimately lost it; they had a "mountain" and a "spaceship," but failed to recognize their value until it was too late.
The chorus speaks to the notion of a "point of no return," the place beyond which it is impossible to salvage what has been lost. The singer admits that he tries to forgive his partner, but he still struggles with the hurt and betrayal he feels. The phrase "we built it up so high and now I'm fallin'" serves as a metaphor for the way that the relationship started out with such promise, but eventually ended in heartbreak. The final line of the chorus, "it's a long way down," underscores the gravity of the situation and the difficulty of moving on.
Overall, "Long Way" is a poignant exploration of love and loss, and the song's catchy melody and evocative lyrics make it a memorable addition to the pop canon.

This song makes me feel very nostalgic. It makes me think that somehow or other I heard this song before, in my childhood. That maybe I was so small that with time I forgot it. After all, why would the brain try not to forget something that seemed useless at the time? As much as I liked this song, maybe my brain didn't care about it, just as I could forget many other fascinating songs.
Maybe when I was a child I was on the third floor of the house where I lived between my 3 and 7 years old, on December 11th when I moved with my family to my current house just in case who reads this is interested. There my uncle was playing this game, Silent Hill which by the way I like a lot, and I was indifferent until I heard this song and I liked it so much that I began to imagine too many things inspired with that melody that did not leave my mind and I liked it more and more, to such an extent that today although I do not remember it I am able to guess it because it stayed in my subconscious, although this is only a theory, but it is still colossal.
I also believe that it could have happened to me not in that house but in the house of a friend of my mother's, and in which her son was playing that game, and I have it as with the above.
Well, thanks for reading, friend, wherever you are.

These are the tears of a woman, lost. These are the tears of a woman, broken. These are the tears of a woman who has realized her true purpose in this horrifying excuse of a town. Even though you're frightened, and hesitant, you want to help her. You want to tell her it's okay, but by now, it's already too late. The transformation has begun, and is in full effect. As she slowly becomes attached to this town, attached to the creatures of the town, becoming one herself, you leave, in fear that you, too, will become a creature of this town. As you hear her cries, you want to cry with her. You call her name out, one last time, as the banging on the door slowly drifts to a stop. You know now, what you have to do. You know now, her purpose. You know now, your own purpose.
