Oppression
the Gladiators Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
For everyone fail bravery
We can’t enslave us
Have to be a way out
You need to escape and runaway
Will the power permit
The Victoryis react
Opression and pain… Destroy the weaks
Opression and pain… Corrode your life
Opression and pain… Destroy the weaks
Opression and pain… Slowly death
We testified battles
Wich have benn sheeding blood
But glorify
Our anxiety of freedon
Your mind is blockated
For tyrant leaders
You became a puppet
They play with your life
You have the shame to not be free
You have the shame to not fight
Participate of the battle
Dream and live with freedom
We testified battles
Wich have been sheeding blood
But glorify
Our anxiety of freedom
Your mind is blockated
For tyrant leaders
You became a puppet
They play with your life
The lyrics of The Gladiators' song "Oppression" convey a strong message of resistance against enslavement and oppression. The opening lines, "Hard wounds to cure, For everyone fail bravery, We can't enslave us, Have to be a way out," suggest that the wounds caused by oppression are difficult to heal, but the spirit of bravery and refusal to be enslaved cannot be extinguished. The lyrics emphasize the need to find a way out of this oppressive situation.
The chorus of the song repeats the message of oppression and pain destroying the weak, corroding lives, and slowly causing death. It portrays the devastating impact of oppression on individuals and the society as a whole. The lyrics also express a longing for freedom and the desire to escape from the clutches of tyrant leaders. The lines "Your mind is blockated, For tyrant leaders, You became a puppet, They play with your life" depict the psychological and emotional manipulation of the oppressed, who are reduced to mere puppets controlled by those in power.
The song portrays a sense of solidarity and determination to fight for freedom. It speaks of witnessing battles that have shed blood, glorifying the anxiety and longing for freedom. The lyrics call for active participation in the struggle, urging individuals to dream and live with freedom.
Overall, "Oppression" by The Gladiators is a powerful anthem that denounces oppression, encourages resistance, and highlights the importance of freedom and self-determination.

The seen in the beginning where the Beastmaster talks to the animals and shows them respect is what I'd probably do because I would have more respect for the beast than the humans making me do what I had to do
