Aren't women (who outnumber men) tired of being murdered by the men in their lives? The majority are. And of the others, killed by strangers, also mostly men. Meanwhile, men create laws to protect the men who murder women. Nothing bad is happening, or going to happen, to Kassanndra's killer. In 20- 30 years he'll be free again and in the meanwhile, 3 hots and a cot, a job he likes (cooking in the prison), reading, watching TV, whatever else, and Kassanndra and her baby/ies go on being dead. Justice would be trading his life and resurrecting Kassanndra. Since that's not possible, the death penalty for him (and anyone else involved, because there is NO way he worked alone), will suffice, and nothing less than that.

My cousin did the gender reverse of this- had a kid then moved states and did everything in her power to keep her away from her dad even though he wants to be involved. @Cheryl Arbon "Life" in WA state is just 20 - 30 years of 3 hots and a cot. Since he's a chef, the prison is bound to exploit that resource. So, he'll be doing what he loves, watching TV, reading, probably have some amount of internet access (after all, this state loves to be "human" to prisoners, can't be mean to them), making new pals (killers love company), and the worst that'll happen is limited travel options for 20 - 30 years. It's not justice, he deserves death, and they'd better not DARE take a plea deal.

Brooklyn Block Well plenty will because the leading cause of death for pregnant women is homicide. Pregnant women get murdered twice as often as dying of natural causes. A man isn't entitled to know a thing when the woman's safety/life is an issue. If he's telling you he wants nothing to do with a child, believe him and either use birth control or say nothing, and if he asks it's somebody else's kid.

Colin was a prep cook at the restaurant I work at up until he was arrested. He always gave me and the others girls creep vibes. Her being missing was big news here in the Seattle/Tacoma area. As shocking as this all was, when we found out it was HIS ex gf who was missing, and he was a suspect, we couldn’t believe that he didn’t voice that Kassandra was his ex and was surprised she was missing. The fact that he was so quiet about it and didn’t mention that he used to date her or even know her was super weird. And shows probable guilt. If my ex was missing, I would express some kind emotion. It’s an eerie feeling knowing I worked along side a murderer.

I'm so glad we're talking about this! The user name I mean. 💖 It takes me back, way, waa-ay back, farther back than I care to name...um...number...to a conversation I had with my mom in the car once in the days before I was even driving myself to school. Longer ago probably than you're guessing....
There was back in those ancient times a band that got some radio play for a while, the song(s) I don't really recall anything about, tho I might if I heard it/them again; and the name of the band was The Butthole Surfers. And as you do when you're young, or at least as you do moreso when you're young, because to some extent you probably never stop entirely, I just accepted the band's name as FACT, whole and inviolable. (This was also back before 1337 speak, txt type, and the acronym-i-zation of language.) It wasn't until one morning on the ride to school when their song started playing, my mom came over kind of funny and said "you know, I was thinking about it...what this band's name means... butthole...surfers." and she just kind of left the thought hanging in the air like that. The thought finished itself pretty naturally in my head, it's not like I had to think about it and then later had a "eurika! I've got it!" moment later in class. What surprised me most was how long I had gone without even once dissecting the words for meaning.

The sad part in those stories is that those women were married and fooled by their husbands. Their wives thought they wanted their baby, they had no reason to think differently.

In this case she wanted the baby even though he didn't want children and they weren't even together. It by no means gives him an excuse to murder her and its wrong, but she also was moving forward with having a man's baby who didn't want nor supported it.

I wish women would stop picking shitty men and get stable relationships or get therapy.. It only hurts the child regardless and the man ends up hating the woman.

Okay 1) I actually had to go get coffee before starting this and 2) why have I not heard about this case?! Tacoma is about an hour south of me and I’ve never heard of it. This is just so sad and plain evil. If you didn’t want to deal with the “consequences” then DON’T CHEAT. Simple as that. I really don’t understand that crap. Trying to have your cake and eat it too than something happens... oh crap. I don’t want to deal with it. Yeah sure let me just go kill and it’ll make everything go away. Such an idiot 🤦🏻‍♀️

Anybody else feel oddly proud of Stephanie?! When she said that about US Weekly I was like “oh my gosh, my little YouTube baby 👶🏼 (we are the same age...don’t judge my mothering) I am so proud of you! Come here and let me give you a squeeze.” But then I remembered Corona...and we are the same age....and we have never met.....minor details. Also, I feel like she is just living my dream right now so I am so stinking happy for her. You go girl!!!!

I feel so bad for her and this story. I live in Tacoma and have been to the sites mentioned in this story countless times. I feel bad because I only vaguely remember this story. A lot of stuff happening in the world is taking precedence and leaving issues like this in the dust. Poor girl.

There are a couple FB groups where theories are exchanged, but the whole situation is basically in a holding pattern while we wait for the trial. That date keeps getting pushed out (currently it's set for Oct., but I'm not holding my breath). It's unlikely to be talked about again until the trial, or more arrests (because I personally think more people were involved), are made.

she was happy to be a single mom. she wasn’t going to ask him for child support or for help raising the child. she was ready and capable of taking care of this child alone. this really didn’t need to happen. he wasn’t on the hook and could have continued living his life as he had been. but now lives gone senselessly.

You really believe that? Lots of women say that until they have the child and want to give the the best life they can. There are over a thousand cases in the USA in which the woman had signed a contract not to seek child support if the dad gave up rights the child and all but 3 won the case.

SmolBee the system isn’t perfect but the only unfair thing about that scenario you mentioned is that she changed her mind. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Shit happens.
Men are fully capable of using protection or getting a vasectomy if they don’t want children. The state I’m in grants the potential father the opportunity to sign over rights to the child relieving them of child support. And since the 90’s no one is allowed to add a name to the birth certificate if that person isn’t present and/or willing to sign it themselves. (Literally fraud & the hospital can be sued). Sounds pretty fair to me.

Awwwww man this happened on my birthday 8/25. I was out to eat with family celebrating a small quarantine brunch and somewhere else in the US a woman was being murdered. This is absolutely sad!!!!

Oh yes, going to prison for murder is WAYYY more REASONABLE then just paying child support. (Since he's a pos dead beat and didn't want to be involved.) Makes total sense. 🤦🤦

I have said for as long as I've been watching you that you should be doing something along the lines of a 60 minutes type thing whether it's on TV or on a podcast because you're going to be bigger than a YouTube creator and I am so glad to see it. Love the new setup the sound quality is amazing The lighting is fantastic and honestly I really don't mind the just blue background. I really wish that YouTube gave its creators the opportunity to let people make up their mind on their own what content they want to watch not messing around with algorithms where they unsubscribe people all the time cuz they do it to me all the time not only on your channel but on several and we should be able to watch what we want and if they find children watching on their parents accounts they should either ban those accounts or change them to a child only account I get that we want to protect our children but if you're an adult and you have a child under 12 or 13 whatever the age is... I think it's 13 to have an account here at YouTube and you're letting them watch adult content on your account then that's your choice as a parent and I don't think that the FCC or YouTube should have anything to say about it you can't tell me that by the time a child is 13 that they haven't heard an inappropriate word are seen on normal network TV someone being killed or something inappropriate it happens I really think that we as adults and as parents we should be able to either flip a switch with child-friendly or not on one single account so we don't have to give a child under 13 their own account. I mean if HBO and cinemax and everyone can do parental controls. I don't understand why YouTube can't it would be fairly easy to implement and there are plenty of advertisers that find this kind of content perfectly appropriate you've shown that by being able to get sponsors. Not only that but you know we have shows like law and order and law and order SVU that have plenty of advertisers, investigation discovery has plenty of shows that would be similar to yours but they have no problem finding advertisers. I think that we have gone too far in the regulation of YouTube and trying to be overprotective of our children. I think as an adult and as their parent you should be able to make the choice of what they see and what they dont. I hate that you're struggling with YouTube unsubscribing people but I am so glad for these new podcasts and I am looking forward to what is in the future for you. You're one of my very favorite content creators and I am so glad that things are moving forward for you in big ways.

A warning to women: if you're only in a casual relationship with him, don't tell him if you've ever had an abortion (he might think it's cool for him to not use condoms, even if you've stated otherwise). If you become pregnant and don't want it, and he's not your boyfriend, fiance, or husband, don't tell him (he might try to pressure you to keep, whether he intends on actually being a parent or not). If you become pregnant and you do want it, but not his involvement, don't tell him. I know it feels like the honest thing to do but it doesn't often end well.

It’s not that simple sadly. You can’t just sign your rights away without someone to take their place.

Not that easy. If the mom goes for state assistance, the father can pay for it because they don't want to pay for a kid the mother wasn't stable to have on her own in the first place.

Also, the court can still make you pay depending on what county it occurs in and what the state laws are. They might slightly reduce the amount at first but it won't be much. They will also keep trying to raise the shit out of it as the kids get older.

In MI if a woman has to apply for any kind of state assistance(medical,food) they are required to give the name of the childs father, then the state orders them(if they wont willingly) to take a dna test and then the state sets up a child support order (the state takes out fees from the support for processing and medicaid ect). If you will not give the name or tell them you dont know(possibly could get away with "not knowing" if you lived in a larger area but in a small town everyone knows everyones buisness)they will consider you non compliant and deny you any services. Known of situations like this where the father did not want the child but if he is the father and ordered to pay support he has rights to the child and shared custody... And the mothers fear for their children's safety as the father does not want the child but takes them to spite the mother. Scary situations MI creates for children.
