Will never grow into a tree (Oh-oo)
The feelings you keep
Will neither bind you or set you free (Oh-oo)
(Ooh) Here she comes now
(Ooh) Help me
(Ooh) Help me
In front and behind
Illumes on me (ah, ah, on me)
Works against me constantly
Constantly
It never rests
It never sleeps (uh)
Here she comes now
Help me (uh)
Help me (uh)
Help me please
Help me
It's starting to show
You gotta come in from the cold
(Oh-oo)
From the cold
You whisper and go
Sometimes it's better you don't know
See it on the street
And with the people that you leave
It's always the same
The secret's hidden in the rain
Here she comes now
Help me
Where'd you go now?
Show me
Show me please
Oooo-oooooo
The lyrics of thenewno2's song Bluesy explore themes of emotional entrapment, futility, and the struggle for release. The opening lines, "The candles you leave will never grow into a tree / The feelings you keep will neither bind you or set you free," evoke imagery of the persistence of negative emotions, which remain stagnant and unchanging. The repetition of "Help me" in the chorus emphasizes the call for release from this emotional limbo. The singer seems to be constantly at odds with opposing forces that work against them, as illuminated by the lines "In front and behind, illuminates on me / Works against me constantly, constantly / It never rests, it never sleeps." The song expresses a desire to break free from this metaphorical prison, as seen in the lines "It's starting to show, you gotta come in from the cold / You whisper and go, sometimes it's better you don't know." The song concludes by repeating the refrain of "Help me" as the singer seeks assistance in their quest for freedom.
