To be honest, I don't think that was Maurice actually singing the part. They were lip-synching the record and Robin's voice is unmistakable. Barry was so selfless and devoted to his family as his talents alone could have made him a star without his brothers. I’m sure it’s sad for him to have been the oldest Gibb yet the last one still standing. He’s contributed so much to the music industry with The Bee Gees harmonies and great songs but also wrote many hit songs for other artists. I love their early stuff as well as the disco era songs.

I'm afraid even in portuguese it would be, perhaps, difficult to explain. At the beginning I didn't know the lyrics and what caught my atention was the emotion in his voice. That emotion was an emotion of suffering and even without understanding what he was singing I became identified with that feeling. The only thing I could understand it was "To love somebody, the way I love you".
Nowadays, after 50 years, I still feel the same... Is this answer enough?😀

Pink floyd , the doors , led zeppelin , not the same but certainly better. These lot sound like cartoon mice singing in all but this song. This tune is a gem the rest is a squeaky disturbance that could set off a car alarm.

I grew up listening to Bee Gees songs from my parents. Both my parents are gone now but I still remember my parents dancing to us with Bee Gees songs. I Love My Parents So Very Much & I Miss them too so very much especially when I hear or listen to any of the Bee Gees' songs. Good Memories.💖 Rest in Peace Barry, Robin, Maurice & even Andy. I have been l listening to the Bee Gee's since this song first came out in 1967. I think they are one of the greatest groups of all time. The way they can write songs, play instruments and sing. Loved this song since the first time i heard it. 68-69. The Beegees amoungst quite a few others were the soundtrack for that groundbreaking era. We knew even as young men and women that the world was changing at an alarming rate and no one could predict the future. God Bless the Beegees.
