The swat team that eventually tracked him down and arrested him were present at the beginning of the video. I can’t imagine the fear and terror the victims in this case went through during his enraged fury. His pregnant, now dead, girlfriend was more than likely abused and victimized by him way before this incident occurred. My condolences to the family and friends of police officer Clayton and also to his ex girlfriends family.

@Max Wolf It is definitely against their code of conduct. They aren't supposed to do that to anyone regardless of the situation, it impunes their character and being of upstanding character is important for a cop because they often get called to testify in trials.

Usually cities have to follow a code of ethics and policies and procedures set by the city, from what I know they don't say anything about language either because it would end up hindering most investigations. Also character is subjective but in this case I don't think they would have to worry when testifying against a person who killed three people (including the baby) and injured another.

People wondering why the cops interrogating him, continue to ask him questions AFTER he asked to see a lawyer. If they continue to ask him questions and he continues to answer AFTER he asks to see a lawyer, only means those questions and answers are no longer admissible in court. It dosen't mean they can no longer ask him questions (which they do) and it doesn't mean he can no longer answer (which he does). The officers know this, so I think they're continuing to ask him questions to gain general knowledge, not to get him to incriminate himself. It's not as if anyone in that room thinks that he'll be found innocent in a court of law. Especially considering what he's being charged with. But that's just my opinion.

I’m not often relieved by such information, but six days ago Markeith Loyd got sentenced to death. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to hear he continued to kill in prison and just in general be a scourge on society. The absolute lack of remorse is one thing but he’s irredeemable because he seems to be unable to understand that he even did anything wrong.

I think anyone who murders more than two people should probably be put to death pretty often. I value life, but I value the lives of the innocent, the unborn, and the good people who died over this monster.

In addition, that is Old Testament. It also would have been an ongoing problem for Israel and the covenant made between God and Abraham.

So as you can see, these decisions were God's and cannot be compared to or justify humans decision to kill people based on laws THEY made up. The commandment "thou shalt not kill" is still in full force.

I understand Lloyd deserves all hell, but based on other interrogations i have seen, i think the best tactic to have the murderer to confess is to act with empathy and show emotion. A good example is the chris watts case where he killed his entire family. Attacking him verbally is only going to put him in defense mode, specially for the type of individual he is.

Nor they were able to bring ease to the suspect to be able to get direct words from the suspect, rather they were trying to put words that the victim can agree with for the hope that they can break him! It’s easy for naive bleeding hearts to see this footage and think he’s been mistreated. And you know what? These cops were mistreating him in terms of protocol. But if you knew what this guy had done and how ruthless he has been, you can understand the emotions these cops feel. Markeith had only been concerned for himself throughout all of this. He murdered his girl carrying an unborn child, tried to execute her brother just trying to diffuse the confrontation, then he fired on a cop while also executing her on the ground while she had already been shot and incapacitated. Then all this guy is saying is he wants cuffs to be loosened, medical attention for his swollen, bruised and bloody face.

I personally believe the cops not only would get more info out of the guy, but they would be protecting themselves against any public scrutiny and mistreatment that could be used in Markeith’s favor in the inevitable court proceedings.

But all in all, it worked out. This pos is now on death row and he will rot in hell. Good riddance.

At the time I was working at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. So, I was on my lunch break and this black girl, a fellow employee, began saying Debra Clayton got what she deserved for trying to arrest a black man. Just to give you all a bit of background from what I remember: they all know the Sergeant Clayton (woman cop) he killed, those cops are her friends. And those handcufs he have : yes they are extremely tight because those handcuffs belong to Sergeant Clayton he killed, they purposely put her handcuffs on him and as you can see: they are trying really hard to delay the time and leave them on him. You can even hear how someone came and behind the door ask "are those Sergeant Clayton handcuffs?" and they said "yes". (14:57) There is even a lead investigator - Danny Garcia-Pagan - (guy at 28:18) if I remember correctly Sergeant Clayton was in his division (?). So this is very personal to him, yet he is able to put a "friendly" face even that in his mind he would beat him to death. (Edit: one more thing, notice how he is the one who will finally release her handcuffs from him)

Oh oh, first the hand cuff key would require one second then it changed to one minute for the fire department to see if the cuffs were too tight and even needed to be loosened.
If the victim resisted going into cuffs it does appear that the resistance was inspired by a justifiable fear of being abused after being made helpless.
