@Yusuf Aden That's pointing out hypocrisy, not explaining his position, as the title states. As others have said here in the comments.
It's also false. I'm no Tucker fan, but he has criticized Trump on multiple occasions, including on war. And warned him that he will loose the election if he follows certain paths. And I don't even watch Tucker. But the little I've seen, I've seen that.
This was WaPo trying to do propaganda, like they always do. They want you to not like Fox, Tucker, etc. But they can't explain why. That was the only value I could find in the video, they want you to know that Tucker is a hypocrite. Now, that's fine, pointing out hypocrisy. For a reason. If you have a purpose. So like, if they showed some flip flopping or opportunistic behaviour, etc. They could've said, look, this guy's not an honest actor. He's inconsistent, see? So be careful of what he's selling you.
But that's not what they did. They just don't want you to like him. And they think "but hasn't criticized Trump" is an effective way of herding the population. Because they're calendars are dusty and they think this still works in 2020. It doesn't. And if it's working on you, I highly suggest some heavy learning.
I don't like Fox. Or WaPo. Because I don't like professional propagandists. Especially the ones who pretend to be journalists.

@Dan H Never have I seen Tucker criticize Trump directly because of his real failures and crimes fulfilling his campaign promises in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, his genocide in Yemen, etc. As for the so-called 'John Bolton' types Tucker criticizes, notice that, as far as I can see and noting his general tone with regard to Trump which is, in my view, clearly lauditory, when Tucker criticizes one of these hawks, the only times he will reference Trump in the same rant is only to put Trump in the position of an opposing figure, someone who just wishes to prevent the hawks from getting control, leaving aside the fact that Trump is the one responsible for them being in power since Trump mostly agrees with them as 'professional' and 'serious'.
