In the beginning of 2019, the duo presented the song Sebi on Evrovizijska Melodija 2019, the Slovenian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, held in Tel Aviv, Israel. They went on to win the selection with 72.89% of the televote from the public in the Superfinal round, therefore became the representative of Slovenia in the contest. In the first Semi-Final on 14th May, the duo received 167 points from the voting, advancing them into the Grand Final on 18th May, where they placed a respectable 15th place with 105 points. After their participation in Eurovision Song Contest, they announced a new band name; zalagasper as it would be easier to pronounce for the non-Slovenian audience.

Put me in a cage and set me free
Mondays are my favorite
All we do is come home and sleep
I feel your signals
It takes time to decode codes
I just wanna know
I feel your signals
I feel your signals
What do I get by being sincere?
Love and pain and what is dear to me
So small, where do we go?
Aren′t we all lost in the world so big?
I feel your signals
It takes time to decode codes
I just wanna know
Where do you go?
I feel your signals
I feel your signals
(I feel your)
(Signals, signals, signals)
I feel your signals
I feel your signals
I feel your signals
The lyrics of "Signals" by zalagasper explore themes of communication, vulnerability, and the search for connection in a seemingly overwhelming world. The opening line, "Can a mountain stand without a sea?" suggests the need for balance and interconnectedness in life. It highlights the idea that without certain elements, like a sea, something as solid and grand as a mountain may lose its purpose or foundation. This metaphor is used to illustrate the importance of relationships and meaningful connections in our lives.
The line "Put me in a cage and set me free" evokes a sense of contradiction and paradox. It speaks to the desire to break free from constraints and limitations, but also the willingness to surrender and be vulnerable in order to find liberation. It could be interpreted as a plea to be understood and valued for one's true self, even if it means being exposed and confined.
The chorus, "I feel your signals, it takes time to decode codes, I just wanna know, where do you go?" delves into the complexities of communication. It suggests that understanding another person's intentions and emotions requires effort and patience. There is a yearning to uncover the meaning behind the signals or messages being sent, longing for a deeper connection and understanding with the other person.
The second verse explores the consequences of sincerity, indicating that it can bring both love and pain, and raises questions about what truly matters in life. The line "So small, where do we go? Aren't we all lost in the world so big?" reflects on the vastness and potential confusion of the world. It captures a sense of feeling overwhelmed and insignificant in the face of life's uncertainties.

@Ben's Personal Injury Lawyer Yeah I agree, Baloni being my favourite. Their songs feel different when they sing in English, cant really explain it that well.
@theplymouthargylefan7209
Stavros i think theres just a bit more going on in the english ones. In baloni (which I also like) there are only really tao noticeable instruments (being the gutiar and looped synth). I love the atmospheric depth of this song in particular but its definitely busier than their old songs
