Chen Chi Chen (Traditional Chinese: 陳綺貞; Simplified Chinese: 陈绮贞; Hanyu Pin… Read Full Bio ↴Chen Chi Chen (Traditional Chinese: 陳綺貞; Simplified Chinese: 陈绮贞; Hanyu Pinyin: Chén Qǐzhēn, Japanese: チェン・チーチェン; Wade-Giles: Ch'en2 Ch'i3 Chen1; also known as Cheer Chen; born June 7, 1975 in Taipei, Taiwan) is a popular Taiwanese singer, guitarist, and pianist. Her earlier work is folk-oriented, generally using acoustic guitar accompaniment, but much of her more recent music is more rock-based. Her songs are generally straightforward and melodic, and she has a pure, young-sounding voice.

Chen generally sings in Mandarin Chinese. She writes most of her own music and lyrics, and has produced several of her recordings independently. Her first recording, Demo 1, was released in September 1997.

Her first studio album 讓我想一想 (Let Me Think) was released in 1998, and the following two albums 還是會寂寞 (Still I Feel Lonely, 2000) and Groupies 吉他手 (2002) brought her fame among music lovers. However, Chen wasn't immense until she released the album 華麗的冒險 (Splendid Adventures) in 2005. The album was a huge success and she gained wide popularity from then on.

In 2009, Cheer Chen released another album 太陽.
