Monolith
Fight the Fade Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You can't break me DOWN!
Fire fall down (And burn me up from the ground) You can't touch me now! (I am invincible) (I am invincible).
The lyrics of Fight The Fade's song Monolith speak of a personal battle that takes place within the singer. The first few lines describe the world as being a dark place, but the singer has opened up their eyes to "things of the unseen". This can be interpreted as the singer becoming aware of spiritual or emotional aspects that were previously unclear to them. Then, the song implies that there is an internal conflict happening between who the singer currently is and who they should be.
The chorus repeats the phrase "Fire fall down" several times, indicating a symbolic transformation that must take place for the singer to attain their ideal self. The use of fire imagery can be interpreted as having both destructive and purifying purposes. The following lines express a sense of unbreakable strength, where the singer proclaims that nothing can hold them back or damage them.
Overall, Monolith by Fight The Fade can be interpreted as a personal anthem of transformation and self-improvement. The song encourages the listener to overcome their own internal struggles and become resilient against external obstacles.
