Heard It From A Friend
LOLO Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Seems like you might be tellin' everyone a story
"I didn't go to the horse shoe barn last week"
Everyone said that they saw you there
Sittin' in the corner lookin' oh so comfy
No one said hello
Cause you were occupied
And you can do everything to cover yourself
But don't forget that we've always shared the same crowd
Yeah I heard it from a friend who
Heard it from a friend
So
When you gonna tell me you fucked me over
Don't you know that people watch
Don't you know that people talk
So
When you gonna tell me you don't want me no more
I feel like a fool when I cry at night
Maybe if I would've opened up my eyes I'd
Woulda noticed all those hours away
But I didn't learn
And I always tried to see the good in you
But everyone said I needed to be careful
Yeah I heard it from a friend who
Heard it from a friend
So
When you gonna tell me you fucked me over
Don't you know that people watch
Don't you know that people talk
So
When you gonna tell me you don't want me no more
You can only bury the truth for so long
Cause it's gonna rise up on its own
Oh, oh!
You can only tell so many lies
Before you start to lose track
And it just comes back to bite you, so!
Yeah I heard it from a friend who
Heard it from a friend
So
When you gonna tell me you fucked me over
Don't you know that people watch
Don't you know that people talk
So
When you gonna tell me you don't want me no more
Yeah I heard it from a friend who
Heard it from a friend
So
When you gonna tell me you fucked me over
Don't you know that people watch
Don't you know that people talk
So
When you gonna tell me you don't want me no more
Ohh, don't want me no more, ohh

Dang girl, you wrote my life right there in "shine". I listen to it a lot in hopes soon I can figure out just how & where to start. To make a change in my life. Ice been suicidal myself, I recently sat on the tracks with a train coming, I was numb, I can't recall what made me get off the tracks. It was crazy kind a feeling. I had a challenging life, mental disorders & struggled thru out my life, as Queen says in a song, " I feel like no one ever told the truth to me bout grow ing up & what a struggle it'd be". The whole song really is my life too just as shine is. I love it. Ice thought of writing a song about my life but the way you wrote shine is perfect. My kids say I should write a book.....I speak or text/write in great detail. Lol.
