Dang girl, you wrote my life right there in "shine". I listen to it a lot in hopes soon I can figure out just how & where to start. To make a change in my life. Ice been suicidal myself, I recently sat on the tracks with a train coming, I was numb, I can't recall what made me get off the tracks. It was crazy kind a feeling. I had a challenging life, mental disorders & struggled thru out my life, as Queen says in a song, " I feel like no one ever told the truth to me bout grow ing up & what a struggle it'd be". The whole song really is my life too just as shine is. I love it. Ice thought of writing a song about my life but the way you wrote shine is perfect. My kids say I should write a book.....I speak or text/write in great detail. Lol.

I love that song puts the responsibility on the individual to be the change in their own lives. Too often our society and culture, even our government says it's not our fault it's not our responsibility. The cold hard truth is this: it is your fault abdmy fault. We must act and not just speak. We must lift up others on our journey as that is the only thing that will lift us. Compassion always, but that does not mean acceptance. But God said love your neighbor, very very difficult at times. Seek the good and positive, don't dwell on the negatives. We are all sinners and broken, we are mortal and we are flawed.
