It is dedicated to Ioannis Tsoukaris, who was executed by the Greek state in 1949 for conscientious objection. Or rather, he was shot by fellow Greeks who acted on somebody else's behalf.
Two songs feature on Last: "Murderer, grampa", the title track, is a ska rocker, and is an attempt to deal with the still taboo subject of ex military personnel and their hero status. "Turn the gun" is an expression of contempt for the people who participate in violent oppression of their fellow man, and the individuals' final retort: "You can turn the gun on yourself."
