Starting out in their native tongue, they moved on to bigger and dreamier things after releasing their track Rivers, described as “an absurdly picture-perfect Scandinavian dream pop gem.” With this track they reached a wider audience, attracting more attention to their music, and it was the start for what will become their very own sound. But the band continues to experiment down a very dreamy and 80s inspired path, as they make a name for themselves.
This is summery dream pop at its best; made for lazy days and dreamy nights.

Postiljonen Lyrics

vote against her vote against her now
we dont talk in the dark
in the black thats where the hearts collide
i get lost in your mind
overnight i saw the bluest skies
you dont want me around
i let my hunger and my heart run wild
do you hear my heart
trembling hard and lonely
you cloud my eyes
like a wind youre here then gone
slow it down in the night
vote against her vote against her now
out of luck I rewind
to the time when i was young and blind to the time when i was young and
do you hear my heart
trembling hard and lonely
you cloud my eyes
like a wind youre here then gone
The lyrics of Postiljonen's song "Atlantis" seem to deal with feelings of loneliness, longing, and regret in relationships. The first stanza sets the tone by asking to slow things down in the night and to vote against someone, possibly indicating a love affair gone wrong. The second stanza seems to indicate a deep mental connection with the other person, almost to the point of losing oneself in their mind. However, this relationship seems to be on shaky ground as the other person does not want the singer around, even though they can feel each other's hearts trembling in isolation. The final line of the second stanza suggests that the other person is like the wind: here one minute and gone the next.
The chorus repeats the first stanza's plea to slow things down and seemingly rewrite history. The last line of the chorus indicates that the singer was once young and blind to the problems in the relationship, possibly indicating that the singer is looking back with regret. The final stanza repeats the isolation and disconnection that the singer feels and ends on the same note of longing.
Overall, "Atlantis" can be interpreted as a sad, introspective song about a painful love. The lyrics suggest a deep connection between the two lovers but it is ultimately doomed to fail, leading to feelings of loneliness and regret.
