The first song was an amazing acoutic track, very well organized and played. Nice voice too. The second one brought in a volcaless Animal Collective entry, a sort of 'almost-electronic' feel. Then we bring in the third track which is more of a pick-me-up dance feel to it, followed by a chiptue track, that was very niucely done. More organic than most trackers, most likely done on a gameboy. Now this is quited down by guitar thrashing almost Sunn style, a little underquality, seemingly out of nowhere. Shortly followed by full drone for a good 10 minutes. You might fall asleep on this tack to be woken up by INVADERS, using an 80s clip at the beginning and throwing this whole sleep-inducing song completly off with extremely fast beats blazing throut the song.
This track is followed by some basement grind. Really silly, terrible quality but overall enjoyable. This turns into a full quality acoustic track. Not as good as the intro but still a good addition. Afterwards we have .. punk? Just thrashy rebelious UK stuff. The only track of its kind on this album. After this is followed by.. more drone. Yes after you are finished thrashing prepare to be calmed down.. again. Not a terrible track, though short. Next up a minimal dance track. Another one-of-a-kind track on this album. Then it is almost flawlessly followed by backpacker rap. Nice for what it is, flows really well ad lyriclly genius.
Now we have an instrumental acoustic track coming afterwards. Very great playing, again underquality but maybe we shouldn't be ranking that at this point, as it is a compilation on a random message board. Now we have a full song, possibly early Nick Cave or Joy Division influenced. Kind of cool mixture of quality playing and lo-fi vocals. This is followed by a random chanting of high blips, which seemingly are bleeping at random but somehow you can hear a tune. Next song is just horrifying. Probably more scary than all the drone songs combined (ever).
However this is again almost perfectly followed by IDM, a track that flows right into what was done previously. This track has a lot of different sounds, pretty creative. This is followed by another instrumental. It is just generic rock shit, but you'll find that out on your own. This is followed by another instrumental. A full rock track but sounds like it is done in FLSTUDIO. Would be pretty ool in a videogame. Next track is EXTREMELY lo-fi, almost to the point where you can't understand anything. Nice if you're into that kind of thing. Next to last track is a glitch sound collage, short and dirty. Last track is a masterpiece, featuring live violins, pianos, clarinet, and african folk instrument. By far one of the most beautiful tracks I have ever heard.
So final conclusion. I think the album would have been MUCH better if the track listing was a bit more organized. Some of the tracks were way under quality and some were almost perfect. I would say have one or the other. Also I would tack genres with genres because some songs came out of nowhere. Some of the tracks were a bit stale and boring while others were way over the top.
I give this album a 6 out of 10. Great tracks for the most part, but extremely disorganized.
