They began making joint music in 2014, when they were working on Ye’s seventh studio album The Life Of Pablo. Following the album’s release, Ty Dolla $ign became one of Ye’s most frequent collaborators, contributing to some of his most prominent modern works — both released and unreleased — including Ye and Yandhi.
With the two maintaining a strong relationship, during 2023, Ty was one of the select few Ye invited to record music with in Tokyo, Japan and later in Italy. During the recording sessions for Kanye West’s eleventh studio album, they decided to set aside some of their music and create their first collaborative album, set to release in 2024. The new collab album will be split into three separate volumes with the 1st volume was supposed to release on Feb 9th 2024 (released the day after instead), the second releasing on March 8th 2024 and the final volume being released on April 5th 2024.
