Ahhh yes, they were simpler times. MySpace didn't exist. Kids wrote in their Live Journals and put their pictures up on Makeoutclub.com. Soccer moms strutted around in American flag t-shirts. Red Bull was the only energy drink on the market. That stupid Saves the Day song about a heart being on the floor was popular and Blank Tradition was the only band from NH playing anything that resembled rock n' roll.
This batch of four young sex gods from the apple bullshit town of Londonderry, NH played their brand of too poppy for their own good rock and roll at every shit hole bar, teen center, and YMCA in New England over the course of 3 1/2 years. They played about 120 shows total, 90 of them probably with the Jonee Earthquake band.
Blank Tradition was fun times. They didn't give a fuck what anyone thought about them. They'd get booked with crust punk bands and purposely play all of their slow four minute songs. They'd get booked with straightedge hardcore bands and then talk about the drugs that were in the vending machine in the back of the room. Dave V. would play bass on stage on ecstasy sometimes. McCroin would pound down a fifth of Jager while Stimbot would be chugging his girly wine outside whatever christian teen center they were playing that night.
Blank Tradition is done but the band members play on...
Stimbot plays guitar for the Midnight Creeps (www.myspace.com/MidnightCreeps)
McCroin plays drums for the Minus Scale (www.myspace.com/minusscale)
Back up bass player Maggio plays guitar in Red Invasion (www.myspace.com/RedInvasion)
Two young bands from NH that are carrying the torch...
