Facing a plethora of legal fees, the siblings relented and changed the band name to Blondfire. They announced this decision to coincide with the release of a new acoustic live EP that would be solely available on the iTunes Music Store. It featured one song, "L-L-Love", that had been on Don't Whisper Lies, and three new songs, "Paper Doll", "Running Back", and "Fade to Pale". The new EP was more successful than the first, eventually becoming the #1 pop album on iTunes and #9 on the album charts.

'Cause I'd be wrong
All in all, all all, in all
You're such a beautiful girl
Don't take my chances
Smile for the lenses
Live it up, you're growing up
Parties in the wilderness of life
Light it up, just give it up
Where the kids are running free tonight
The cars on the avenues
Can wait in line
All in all, all all, in all
Lived out this innocent time
Gold roads leave Kansas
Scarecrow loves dances
Live it up, you're growing up
Parties in the wilderness of life
Light it up, just give it up
Where the kids are running free tonight
They're running free tonight
They're running free
They're running free tonight
Live it up, you're growing up
Parties in the wilderness of life
Light it up, just give it up
Where the kids are running free tonight
Live it up, you're growing up
Parties in the wilderness of life
Light it up, just give it up
Where the kids are running free tonight
Where the kids are running free tonight
Where the kids are running free
The lyrics of Blondfire's "Where the Kids Are" can be interpreted in different ways depending on the listener's perspective. At first glance, the song seems like a tribute to youth and the carefree spirit of being young. The first verse suggests that the singer cannot solely blame someone else for their problems. The chorus encourages living life to the fullest, enjoying parties and experiences while still young enough to do so. There's also a sense of rebellion, of wanting to break free from the confines of adult life and live like kids again, running wild and free. The second verse talks about the freedom of youth, leaving one's hometown, and exploring the world.
However, a closer analysis reveals that the song may also have a more cynical message. The lines "Don't take my chances / Smile for the lenses" may suggest that the singer is addressing someone who cares too much about their public image, to the point of being disingenuous. The imagery of "parties in the wilderness of life" and "gold roads leaving Kansas" sound alluring, but could also be interpreted as empty promises. The repetition of "all in all, all all" at the end of each verse could signify a sense of resignation or dissatisfaction.
Overall, "Where the Kids Are" strikes a balance between optimism and the harsh realities of growing up. It acknowledges the allure of youth but also hints at the difficult choices that come with age.
