Bok, Muir and Trickett was a folk singing group active from the late 1960s until the late 1990s. The group consists of Gordon Bok (Bass and Guitar), Ann Mayo Muir (Soprano) and Ed Trickett (Tenor and Twelve String Guitar). They recorded many traditional American and Australian folk songs from the late 1800's to the present that were largely forgotten or underperformed. Many of these songs reflected nautical, rural, working class and New England themes. These songs reflected the backgrounds of the principle members, operating largely out of Boston and Maine. Bok was a sailor for many years off the coast of Maine, so many of the songs mirrored his own experiences.
