Our plan for the Future is to live in the Now!
The Songs are crafted like shimmering statues of Light! Makes you Shine on!!
NEW BEGINNING FOR FUTURETOWN
Futuretown have signed a three year publishing deal with Conexion Music, a division of Conexion Media Group plc - a major player in music and media rights administration, publishing songs by Fat Boy Slim, The Prodigy, The Fugees, The Pet Shop Boys, Metallica, Tom Jones and Moby, and operating in London, New York, Nashville and Hong Kong.
Surface Unsigned Festival Review
It takes a band with real self-assurance to attempt power-pop with the grandeur of U2, but it’s something Futuretown do with consummate ease. Hands to the heavens, choruses that demand 50,000 people are singing the words deliriously back, shimmering, dexterous guitar lines - we get the lot inside twenty minutes, and all with a conviction and craft that puts Futuretown in the same league as their world dominating partners in sound. Truly memorable stuff.
Review by www.ultimate-guitar.com of Futuretown gig supporting Sandi Thom at the Point Cardiff, 23 July 08:
'The crowd was made up by two sections. These were, those who had come to see Sandi (Thom) and those there to see the support band (Futuretown). Futuretown play very melodic rock tracks. Their lead guitarist, using a les Paul, is very good and most of the songs are based around his licks’.
PLUGGED IN MAGAZINE ISSUE 3 - SONG REVIEW Shine On
'Melodic guitars that make you sway with appreciation and a stunningly good voice as well. This is FutureTown whose demo’s title track Shine On is a perfect piece of Pop Rock in the vane of Crowded House. A blessing in a world full of screamo, I can imagine the video now as they drive round the Grand Canyon on a hot day with their hair flowing in the breeze. Guys when you make it big, as you surely will, I want royalties on that idea. Listen immediately.'
