Bright Lights
Gary Clark Jr. Lyrics

Wake up in New York City
Lying on the floor
Just outside of Marcy's - West 54 wow

You gonna know my name by the end of the night, yeah
You gonna know my name by the end of the night, well

Bright lights, big city going to my head
Bright lights, big city going to my head
Bright lights, big city going to my head
I don't care no, no
Cause you don't care, no

Start up with the bottle
End it up with the bottle
Taking shots, waitingon tomorrow
Trying to fill up, whats hollow

You gonna know my name
You gonna know my name

Bright lights, big city going to my head
Bright lights, big city going to my head
Bright lights, big city going to my head
I don't care no
'Cause you don't care, no

Get lost in this city trying to find myself
I went up a different person
Came down somebody else
I know it ain't right
But its song in my head
Wow I'm surprised that
I'm still alive I should breathe in

Bright lights, big city going to my head
Bright lights, big city going to my head
Bright lights, big city going to my head
I don't care no, no
Cause you don't care

Well you gonna know my name
Well you gonna know my name
Well you gonna know my name
Hey! You gonna know my name by the end of the night, well

What people don't know was there was a technical problem.. The P.A. dropped sound so they couldn't hear right. He extended the intro of the song til the sound kicked in on the other guitarist amp... then it came back on. You can see the yellow shirt guy make a face like wtf at the beginning and then works it out. Clark held the song together like glue and extended the intro and improved the leads. At some point They came back on. Also that second lead was improved and extended when the crowd lost it.. That's some balls right there keeping your shit together when things are going wrong and steps up and owns it like a boss that he is. Clapton wrote a note to him saying thank you. You make me want to play again.😀

This guy's a rock that forever will be rolling. I know why this guy is "unsung". It's because of the music "$moneygrabbing$" Industry! I'm pretty sure this genius paid for promotion, but never received the service deserved-of! I'm amazed I happenstanced upon this, in my early 50's! How sad it is to know that some Musicians only receive what they deserve, only after sadly, passing-away. The $moneygrabbers$ walk the walk, but don't talk the talk! Now, I know his name. What a great gift, he's got!
