The band's final line-up consisted of siblings John (drums) and Sarah (lead vocals) Buckley, guitarist/vocalist Kerrod Williams (formerly of The Never Ever), lead guitarist Nick Laurie (also of Die Ignorant) and bassist Keanu McCormick; whom replaced original bassist Ed Wardle in 2012. The group formed in 2011 and quickly gained momentum with high-profile support slots for artist such as Tonight Alive, Heroes for Hire and Hands Like Houses. The band released two EPs: Enjoy the Little Things, which was released for free via their Facebook page in mid-2011; and Us Against the World, released in November 2012. Following the departure of both McCormick and Laurie, Highways disbanded in August 2013. In November 2015, the band reconvened with its final line-up under the name Blossom and re-released their two EPs as a self-titled album in 2016.
