The Price
Leprous Lyrics

""Piercing his eyes Scars you can't see Cutting profound Places you don't want to be Climbing a mountain Crossing a sea Behind The struggle has ended Damaged mind Already descended Acting out Striving to make me secure The gutter parts us From the rain Up on the hill Tough and alone Perfectly filling His desolate throne Behind The struggle has ended Damaged mind Already descended Acting out Securing me Friendly betrayal Somber delight Treating his tumor Without a fight""

Piercing, piercing his eyes
Scars you can't see
Cutting, cutting profound
Places you don't want to be
Climbing a mountain
Crossing a sea

Behind
The struggle has ended
Damaged mind
Already descended

Behind
The struggle has ended
Damaged mind
Acting out
Striving to make me secure

The gutter parts us from the rain
Up on the hill, tough and alone
Perfectly filling his desolate throne

Behind
The struggle has ended
Damaged mind
Already descended

Behind
The struggle has ended
Damaged mind
Already descended

Behind
The struggle has ended
Damaged mind
Acting out
Securing me

Friendly betrayal
Somber delight
Treating his tumor
Without a fight

Jolly is the best band ever.

Piercing, piercing eyes.
Scars you're counting.
Counting, counting profound places you don't want to be.
Climbing a mountain, crossing a sea.
Behind, the struggle has ended.
damaged mind, already descended.
Behind, struggle has ended,
acting out, striving to make me secure.
The gutter, parts us from the rain.
Up on the hill,
tough and alone.
perfectly feeling, his desolate throne.
Behind, the struggle has ended.
damaged mind, already descended.
Behind, struggle has ended,
damaged mind, acting out, securing me ______ betrayal.

Can't really hear the end. Anyone want to help me out?

saw this band yesterday
along with TesseracT
and the mightily talented
Devin Townsend at Bristol
on 12thMarch2017
Very impressed by the quality of sound by all three bands.
Devin delivered an excellent set, a brilliantly enjoyable evening
;~)
... saw Devin 24 years ago sing for Steve Vai's band ...
.... twice

POSTSCRIPT 12months later....
.... really got into Leprous!

I told one of my best friends to recommend bands "equal to Opeth" and he recommended me to Leprous, now I listen to Leprous in memory of my friend, he passed away 2 months ago

Xenogor Wraithblade

@8man Luna's Call and Black Crown Initiate come to mind.

Aaron

@Erik Eakin For real though. Still looking. On that journey I did find Porcupine Tree, however. Not like Opeth but the lead vocalist produced 3 Opeth albums. PT is itself a very interesting and enjoyable listen.

Dwight Schrute

Try Ne Obliviscaris. Thank me later.

Joseph Williamson

@denis_musicreviews that's lore a cross off between Tool and Opeth IMO.

Stefania DI GIULIO

God bless him...

I show this song to people who don't like metal because of the guy's angelic voice. I even showed this song to my mom. She said it was lovely, but maybe she was lying cause I didn't see any head banging ..

JM Coulon

My mom likes it too, but she also likes Gojira and some Meshuggah too ...

vocal melodies are more important than vocal type. people need to learn to enjoy bands based on their musical content. this is particularly a huge issue in the metal community for me. it's ok to have preferences, tho, but people make a huge problem out of these things

Machin

Me whenever I hear a good metal song : lovely! proceeds to lovingly headbang to the song
