Their musical language is influenced by Scandinavian jazz and folk - also classical music. The music is, on the other hand, lyrical and melancholy, but at some points also very straightforward and full of energy. Music is composed by the pianist, Juha Kujanpää. Poutaja has performed e.g. at North Sea Jazz Festival 2005 in the Hague, Netherlands. See also www.myspace.com/poutaja.
