She is a singer/song-writer and producer hailing from Indonesia. Her music is not limited to only Jazz, proven in her album Magma, which it's pretty trip-hop and psychedelic to some reviews. She has released 4 albums to date, the last one Buat Kamu under the name Syaharani and the Queenfireworks. She was once a guest singer on Al Jarreau, Iskandarsyah Siregar & Folks, Dave Koz, Keith Martin and Yellow Jackets Indonesia tour with Fourplay. Besides singing she's also an actress in a musical drama/theatre, Madame Dasima, Gallery of Kisses at TIM Jakarta, a film called Garasi and has made a theme-song for a controversial Indonesian film called Betina (NETPAC Award Festival Film Asia 2006 winner), she was also the vocal illustrator in the production.
Ever since she was very young she has been closely familiar with Jazz. In spite of the fact, she barely started singing in 1990 at pubs and campuses. At one pub she met Bubi Chen, an Indonesian Jazz prodigy. At end of 1998 she joined Bubi Chen, Benny Likumahua, Sutrisno, Cendy Luntungan, and Oele Pattiselano to release a jazz album, What a Wonderful World.
Her first album, Love, is quite jazzy released in 1999 then she went on to a more experimental vision of hers, releasing a psychedelic album, Magma in 2002 to maximise her vocal abilities. The album consists of 11 tracks with various tastes of Jazz, fusion, ethnic, and trip hop blend into a music she cites as psychedelic. Differing from her previous release she opines Magma is more pop for everyone to listen and all the materials are, "enjoyable to listen", she said. Her third album, Syaharani, was released in 2004. On this album she maximalised her natural jazz talent. There are 10 cover songs re-arranged, "Careless Whisper" (Wham), "Fragile" (Sting), "I Can See Clearly Now" (Jimmy Cliff), "Lately" (Stevie Wonder) to name some.
In the same year had her first solo concert at Graha Bhakti Budaya Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM). A concert called Cross Genre Music was a mix of musical genres like jazz mainstream, pop, dan progressive. In this concert she was backed up by Kevin Wahl (terompet dan saxophone), Oele Pattisilano (guitar), Agam Hamzah (gitar), Adi Dharmawan (bas), Eddy Syahronny (drums), Elanda Yunita (piano and keyboards), Iwan Wiradz (percussion), dan Didit Outer (programming dan guitar effects) and surprisingly this concert was free of charge.
In 2006 she released her album by the name of Syaharani and the Queenfireworks, Buat Kamu. This time she hooked up Achmad "Didit" Fareed and Donni Suhendra, the ex Krakatau guitarist. Various musical influences are also perceptible in this album.
