My Mistakes Were Made for You
The Last Shadow Puppets Lyrics
About as subtle as an earthquake, I know
My mistakes were made for you
And in the back room of a bad dream, she came
And whisked me away, enthused
And it's solid as a rock rolling down a hill
The fact is that it probably will hit something
On the hazardous terrain
And were just following the flock, round
And the in between, before we smash to smithereens
Like they were, and we scrambled from the grain
And its the fame that put words in her mouth
She couldn't help, but spit em out
Innocence and arrogance intwined
In the filthiest of minds
She's was bitten on her birthday, and now
A face in the crowd, shes not
And i suspect that now, forever the shape
She came to escape, its forgot
And it's a lot to ask and not to sting1
Give her less than everything
Around your crooked conscious she will wind
Cos were just following the flock round
And the in-between
Before we smash to smithereens
Like they were, and we scramble from the grain
And it's the fame that put words in her mouth
She couldn't help, but spit em out
Around your crooked conscious she will wind
And it's a lot to ask and not to sting
Giver her less than everything
Innocence and arrogance intwined

My mistakes were made for you

And it's as solid as a rock rolling down a hill
The fact is that it probably will hit something
On the hazardous terrain
And we're just following the flock
'Round and in between, before we're smashed to smithereens
Like they were
And we scramble from the blame
And it's the fame that put words in her mouth
She couldn't help but spit 'em out
Innocence and arrogance entwined
In the filthiest of minds
She was bitten on her birthday and now
A face in the crowd she's not
And I suspect that now forever the shape
She came to escape is forgot
And it's a lot to ask her not to sting
And give her less than everything

This song always makes me think about how much Miles and Alex could totally nail a 007 movie intro song
Capsloc
Every new bond movie I hope to hear that the song will be by tlsp only to be disappointed 😞
Kevin Zheng
0.75x speed its more like it
Sean Sanchez
They really seem to nail that mid century foreign film (pardon my US American perspective) score/soundtrack feeling to the wall. I love music like this. Definite 007 or other spy movie (biting off of Bond movies) worthy stuff.
Skydrag.V60
10000% everything they make is gold and I’d love to see them bring in the new era of Bond with a song as suave as this
Sarah Kanj
been saying this forever!! glad I'm not the only one to see it
Alisha
I would be so jealous if my friends discovered this song, this is a fucking masterpiece.
Ömer Asaf
i mean would still have a good music taste. i think what "good music taste" means anything in or minds is that we are listen to meaningfull songs cause we have some kind of problem or philosophy similar to the song. but the other people just listen to songs to have fun wich is understandable but it our type of listening seems way wiser

Jealous of who? What?

@PPS11 Its impossible to treat this song as a "basic song" with this kind of a sound they created with this song
