Along with Pimp Daddy, U.N.L.V. helped pioneer a new sound and style of hip-hop in New Orleans, and paved the way for CMR's many later successes. Their first album, 6th & Baronne, is considered to be a classic in Louisiana, although their major claim to fame is the track "Drag Em 'n' Tha River" from Uptown 4 Life where the group disses No Limit Records' rapper Mystikal through a lengthy song.
