1. Virtuoso, rapper and hip-hopper from USA
2. Virtuoso, operatic pop vocal group from Finland
1. Virtuoso has been in the game since 1998 solidifying his reputation as a groundbreaking vocalist and a true renaissance man. He founded his own record label, Big Bang Records and is hard at work finishing his new album, WW3:The Final Conflict. But all this didn't happen overnight, he has exhibited supreme dedication to living his dreams and despite resistance at every turn, Virutoso is rounding the corner and is poised to explode.
Born just outside of Boston, Massachusetts, Virtuoso was blessed with a strong heritage in the realm of thought & sound. Virtually growing up in recording studios, he regularly accompanied his father on the job as a top studio electronics specialist in MA in the early 1980's. His early exposure to the Boston music scene had him hanging around Rock&Roll legends like Aerosmith, Boston & the Cars and prepared him for what would soon become a career path of his own.
In addition to his musical aspirations, young Virt was also a workhorse on the pitchers mound. He was a starting pitcher on the Cambridge Rindge& Latin Varsity team from his freshman year on, and by all accounts he had the stuff to make the big leagues. But apparently his destiny laid elsewhere because a tragic line drive struck his collarbone on the mound. Never one to go down easy Virt still picked up the ball and threw the batter out before the pain hit and he hit the ground. During the difficult recovery period Virt returned to his childhood passion of music with a vengeance, and a year later he was devastating street corner cyphers and rocking any stage he could get his feet on. After hearing a particularly vicious tounge lashing by Virt of some local MC's on the corner of Mass Ave, Fakts One invited Virt to appear on his legendary "True School Thursdays" radio show. After he rocked it the phones lit up and Virt started connecting the dots, soon pairing with Madsol Desar for the now classic "Omnipotence".
By age 17, Virtuoso was making his own vinyl records, appearing on international releases and touring across the globe. Virtuosos fiery, intellectual battle raps and honest, cutting-edge social commentary quickly caught the attention of the international underground hip-hop community. With a deep, powerful voice and assorted, dexterous flows, he debuted on wax in 1998 and was immediately recognized as a force to be reckoned with on the exploding Boston hip-hop scene.
After whetting appetites with devastating off the head freestyles and a string of show-stealing guest appearances, Virtuoso released his first single, "Incinerator," b/w Orions Belt, featuring Mr. Lif and Esoteric. After dropping two more 12" he released his self-distributed debut album, "WW1: The Voice of Reason" acclaimed by fans and critics alike for its lyrical prowess and diverse soundscape. He followed up this succesfull debut with the Molemen produced 12" "God of Thunder" and appeared on many notable releases in the international music scene.
Virtuoso has performed extensively in the United States, opening for such popular acts as A Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes, The Beatnuts, Eminem, Rakim, Bravehearts, Black Moon, Wu-Tang Clan, Deltron 3030 & M.O.P. He has toured Europe four times, including two stints with Oakland lyrical legends, Hieroglyphics. He has also collaborated on record with such musical luminaries as Del tha Funkee Homosapien, Casual, Jaz-O, Tatiana Ali, Bahamadia, Mr.Lif, Akrobatik, Jedi Mind Tricks, 7L & Esoteric, Torch and DJ Vadim. His trail-blazing lyrical genius, packaged in a unique blend of hard-edged hip-hop containing elements of rock, funk and dramatic orchestra has garnered significant notice. Virt has been featured in magazines such as URB, XXL, Mass Appeal and Insomniac and was awarded a Boston Music Award in 2002 for Outstanding Hip-Hop act. His dazzling freestyle skills also earned him an appearance on CBSs The Carson Daly Show and resulted in a final-four finish in the HBO Blaze magazine MC Battle.
Staying true to the ferocious energy that gained him recognition, he came back with a vengeance for his RYKO distributed sophmore LP, "WW2: Evolution of the Torturer." Released in an election year, his former label Omnipotent Records partnered with the maverick NYC imprint Raptivism Records to unleash his fury. The album provides some of the most radical content in recent memory, including the controversial lead single Farenheit 9/11 b/w "Military Intelligence f/Akrobatik" that plays like a hip-hop soundtrack for the war in Iraq & Afghanistan. Now in 2006 Virtuoso is on fire, releasing his explosive new mix CD "Big Bangers" on his newly founded Big Bang Records, and getting ready to start a tour in support of his upcoming 2006 LP "The Final Conflict".

Virtuoso Lyrics

Yeh, Virtuoso, Snipe 4-20
We omnipotent yo
(Hook)
Intelligence is irrelevant to success
When disrespectful intellectuals get blasted in the chest
Depressed violent challenged constantly under arrest
Best be determined crime minds burnin' for a higher learnin'
(Verse 1)
My lips tremble as I remember cerebral violence of my livest
Sicilian sniper, the karma starin' in his iris
His slanted eye and higness was a warrior like Cirus
Through pokin' his sinus that made him mindless
Now blindness he's livin' in
He started pushin' in pussy that's lethal
A chick that's stickin' in infected needles
And she tryna boast, he had an overdose he's comatose
Bitch stuck a fist in his throat that made him choke
Almost to late but he lived to regurgitate the weight
I got a call at eight, a.m. tellin' me to meet him
In front of the mansion where we standin' lightin' a cannon
In the Pele pel, he took a puff and told a tale
But I was weak in the knees, traded his gold medallion
just to ride inside the saddle of cocaine the white stallion
Pull out the car keys, pop in a CD, and pulled a U-wee
We peelin' out to meet the rest of the crew
Out in a Montera sky blue fat body razzy ridin' shotty
drinkin' knotty headed for a college party
We puffin' skunk gettin' drunk while the beats bump
Then peeped a cracked out bitch lampin' wid her eyes sunk
up in the sockets, winkin' at the snitch shook her tits
Took a grip on his collar, and bit him like a rottweiler
Rolled up a hundred dollar, and then devoured white powder
Tension's holdin' tight up on his amaretto sour
He's shakin' like a coward over flour
He broke down, makin' the sniffin' coke sound
Now he's out on the town, on the corner beggin' for change
Estranged from his friends, he coulda pushed a Benz
He was a drug dealin' genius wid a seamless plot
But couldn't stop, the kid was a slave to his habit
Coulda had it all, but all his cream an' plays are shot
Because persistence will prevail where raw genius will not
(Hook)
Intelligence is irrelevant to success
When disrespectful intellectuals get blasted in the chest
Depressed violent challenged constantly under arrest
Best be determined crime minds find desire burnin'
(Verse 2)
My man Snipe rough life, in the moonlight
Can't sleep at night knife chop wife rock light
in crack pipe at night juvenile delink in the precint
buddah stink, eyes chinked red while the judge think
Wid Sicily shaped link, neglected youth, physical abuse
Had a weight lifting step-father whip him
Plus a mom stranglin', for hangin' with the wrong crew
Twenty two sippin' blood hittin' coke flippin'
Takin' SAT's on LSD, his university
Was assisted financially by slangin' kis
Split personalities, mind operates in intricate patterns
Manic depression opens the dome like the rays of Saturn
Now he's thrown outta home alone
His parents cool he's fuckin' up in school
His tool is a dutch master ooh, laced thirty and mean
Is pumpin' through the fiend's bloodstream like Valvoline
Leg splittin' lickin' women in silk and linen
That slanted out sex and exercise thighs like Richard Simmons
Without protection on a rock hard erection
Blessed wid luck he fucked and escaped without infection
In the school halls, fist pattin' a punk bitch until he falls
Is nose is broke the rules are broke so grab the stashed coke
He's expelled his nose clean livin' at Will's
But still seein' triple beam cream winner for teams
Love of lifeĀ ?osteospamani? a mommy and a fiance
She's a soon to be wife, so fuck a crack pipe
Determination, for makin' higher education
Instead of facin' twenty five to life type incarceration
Makin' cash illegal, connects the faculties
Found the calories with salaries dealin' to rich people
Starvin' like a third world nation feelin' naked
Now we're money makin' master determination and patience so
(Hook)
Intelligence is irrelevant to success
When disrespectful intellectuals get blasted in the chest
Depressed violent challenged constantly under arrest
Best be determined crime minds burnin' for a higher learnin'
(Verse 3)
The streetsweeper, I check the time on a black beeper
My crew roll deep with dutchmaster hash and reefer
My feet are greased right, life is a ego-centrical
Ecosystem where we're all governmental victims
Played like marionettes wid mental and physical threats
The only outlet for the scars of my brain and my pain
And to refrain from goin' insane as a soundset
Wet up the philly sparkin' solo in the Polo
Determined, to drink Bourbon, wearin' a black shirt and
Keepin' a fly girl and, a Chevrolet Suburban
For cash crimies'll break ya arms out the sockets
So fuck the Bank of Boston toss the shit up in the front pocket
Askin' a question that no one can ever answer
My mind is divine it's hard to find like the cure for cancer
Wisdom philanthropist, cannibis burnin'
When I'm blazin' up determination for a higher learnin'
(Hook)

The song "Omnipotence" by Virtuoso is a powerful commentary on the concept of intelligence and success. The first verse of the song introduces a violent sicilian sniper who became mindless due to his addiction to lethal drugs. It talks about the consequences of engaging in drug addiction and the fact that persistence will prevail where raw genius will not. The second verse features Snipe 4-20, whose rough life is chronicled, from physical abuse to manic depression, and his escape from drug addiction through determination to make it to higher education. The final verse further explores the theme of determination, referencing the ego-centric ecosystem of our society and the government's manipulation of its citizens.
The hook echoes the central message of the song, that intelligence is irrelevant to success, and the only way to overcome challenges and achieve what we want in life is through a burning desire to learn and persist. Virtuoso's lyrics show the power that determination can have in our lives, even when the odds seem insurmountable. The song is a call to action for listeners to embrace this lesson and to strive for greatness with determination and persistence.
