The band was formed in 1996 in Timisoara, Romania by Grogo (Cristian Giorgievici) and Patrascano (Adrian Patrascanu). Grogo had lots of ideas on guitars and Patrascano was doing the synth parts. Grogo introduced Ghabba (Gabriel Szorad), who started making some voice tracks on those ideas. We called the band "The World Future Society". After that we decided that it's gonna be called short as W.F.S.
We started to put together the ideas and we worked in Timisoara and Budapest after Patrascano has moved to live and work in Hungary. Theese ideas that are still beautiful tunes to us can be heard in the multimedia section of the site.
After that period, Grogo moved to Canada, and the W.F.S. project was suspended, until Patrascano, in 2002, started to call Ghabba which lived (and still lives) in Timisoara, to regroup the band but in a more active form, ready to go live. Patrascano and Ghabba met in Budapest and made the first full release album entitled " Seeds of Hope " in 2003, which contains songs from 1997 "WFS Demo " like Spacecraft or Digital Coffee. In the same year Medy ( Medea Szabo ) came as a new and valuable member, and her contribution increase the quality of W.F.S. backing vocals.
We remade some of our early tracks and composed new songs. We thought it was time to go live. But we needed new members to come and help us. Atesz ( Attila Palfalvy ) on drums and Tana ( Peter Tanai ) keyboards joined W.F.S. late 2002, just before the shooting of our first video " Spacecraft " and helped us in live shows.
From 2003 utill 2005 were silent years again in this band's life, because of the distance between the members. It was quite impossible to make any worthy material. We composed a few songs wich now are under the final touch. Grogo, from Canada rejoined the band in 2005 and he is bringing his contribution to W.F.S.'s music again - silently we should mention, he was always with us, at least with his encouraging support. On the other hand, Atesz and Tana left the band.
The World Future Society is now again on the track to the place called ... well, we'll see about that ...
