As someone who tries to write sci-fi action stories with plenty of action, romance, and heartbreak as well, one of the hardest things to write is the end.

You can write a beginning, you can flesh out the characters and make them seem like people, actual people you can relate to, you can write the "meat" of your story, but the end is the hardest thing to do, especially when you decide to kill a character off.
Do you want to end it here? Or do you want to continue the journey for a couple more stories?

The important part is to realize that the end of one story is the end of a journey. But that's one journey. Your character has so much ahead of them. And this doesn't just apply to writing, this also applies to RPGs as well as real life.

We're all just stories. Somewhere, every single one of us is a person in the pages of someone's novel or short story. In the end, we are all stories. Let's just hope we're good stories.
