La la la la la la la la la
There are times in this life of mine
I think that the sun forgot how to shine
But as long as you're always there
It don't bother me 'cause why should I care
When all I've gotta do
Is run to you
Even the bad times are good
Soon as I get to you baby
you just gotta hold me
And even the bad times are good,
Even the bad times are good
Soon as I get to you baby
you just gotta kiss me
And even the bad times are good
La la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la
When the day seems to drag along
And all that I do is workin' out wrong
Still I find that I never cry
As long as I know that you're standing by
Then all I've gotta do
Is run to you
Even the bad times are good ..
The Tremeloes's hit song "Even The Bad Times Are Good" is a testament to the power of love and the support that one can derive from a significant other. The song speaks of the ups and downs of life and how having someone to run to can make even the bad times seem good. The lyrics suggest that even when things are not going well and the sun seems to have stopped shining in one's life, having the constant presence of a loved one can provide the reassurance and courage needed to keep going.
The refrain "Even the bad times are good" reinforces this idea and highlights the importance of having a supportive partner who can make the rough patches in life seem less daunting. This message is particularly poignant in today's world, where stress and anxiety can take a significant toll on mental health. The song's message is one of hope and optimism, suggesting that even in the darkest of times, love can provide the light needed to keep moving forward.
Overall, "Even The Bad Times Are Good" is a classic love song that has endured for decades, primarily due to its timeless message of hope and the universal appeal of its catchy melody. The song's popularity has continued through the years, with various covers and re-recordings by artists such as Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, which have helped to further cement its place in popular culture.

This was the UK's 38th best seller of 1967, reaching No.4 in late August 1967. A good pop song by The Tremeloes with good lyrics. The band must have had fun making this.

It was 1967, I was 10 yrs old, at Junior school in England. In my Class was a very disruptive, naughty, but very likable lad Ian Bowman. Whenever he was told off by the teachers, he would stand up and sing "Even the Bad Times are Good" . I will always remember that, and I have always loved that song from my Childhood.
