Fantastic number. It's just a jam-session but what a pleasure they have and....."we" got back.

I met Gene in the summer of 64 when I was only 5 . At a state park in Connecticut . My family with two others went water skiing . His friends Alice, Lorry got to listen to his new music and told him what they thought about it. My uncle used to jam with him and my uncle Lenny kicks himself for leaving the band he had going just when Gene was becoming famous. My friend Alice did not like the stuff Gene was writing for the Stones One tune was pretty raunchy . It was a dawn of Rock an roll long hair and the draft . I am happy to be able to listen to his music .

Gene Pitney was no slouch as a singer and songwriter. "Hello MaryLou", (Ricky Nelson), "Town Without Pity", "Only Love Can Break A Heart", "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance", and "It Hurts To Be In Love" were already Rock 'n' Roll classics before the Stones came along. His business suit image didn't help. The man had an Edge - and Class. He also wrote "He's a Rebel" for The Crystals. Gene recorded Jagger-Richards' "That Girl Belongs To Yesterday" - The Stones' first American hit.
